Message of WVC Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran on the occasion of the 148th birth anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

On the occasion of the 148th birth anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Vice Chancellor of Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, has said in his message that Allama Iqbal's personality, his thoughts, poetry and ideas are our national asset. The essence of Iqbal's life and message is that only through firm conviction, continuous struggle and mutual love between individuals and nations can the work of serving the human race be undertaken. Allama Iqbal's words proved to be a message of awakening for the Muslims of the subcontinent, which was echoed in the Allahabad sermon and also led to the achievement of a separate state for the Muslims of the subcontinent. Allama Iqbal's thoughts finally found a good destination in the form of Pakistan. Allama Iqbal's thoughts are still a beacon of light for the youth, especially students. There is a need for students to use Iqbal's concept of self to build their individual and collective character.

علامہ محمد اقبال کے 148 ویں یومِ ولادت کے موقع پر وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے اپنے پیغام میں کہا ہے کہ علامہ اقبال کی شخصیت ان کے افکار شاعری اور نظریات ہمارا قومی اثاثہ ہیں۔ اقبال کی زندگی اور پیغام کا خلاصہ یہ ہے کہ پختہ یقین مسلسل جدوجہد اور افراد و اقوام کے درمیان باہمی محبت ہی سے نسلِ انسانی کی خدمت کا کام لیا جاسکتا ہے۔ علامہ اقبال کا کلام برصغیر کے مسلمانوں کے لیے  پیغام بیداری ثابت ہوا جس کی بازگشت خطبہ الہ آباد میں بھی سنائی دی اور  برصغیر میں مسلمانوں کے لیے علیحدہ ریاست کے حصول کا باعث بھی بنا۔ علامہ اقبال کے افکار کو بلا آخر پاکستان کی شکل میں ایک خوب صورت منزل نصیب ہوئی۔ علامہ اقبال کے افکار آج بھی نوجوانوں خاص کر طلباءوطالبات کے لیے مشعلِ راہ ہیں۔ ضرورت اس امر کی ہے کہ طلباءوطالبات اقبال کے تصور خودی کو اپنے انفرادی اور اجتماعی کردار کی تعمیر کے لیے بروئے کار لائیں۔
