The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has climbed 35 position to secure the 310th spot in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026. The university achieved the 10th position in Pakistan and the 177th in Asia. This ranking marks a significant improvement from its 345th position in 2025. Institutions from 110 countries were evaluated for this ranking while nationally, the university ranked 10th in Pakistan and 177th in Asia. It achieved an overall score of 787.5, demonstrating excellent performance across key areas Setting and Infrastructure (750), Energy and Climate Change (1425), Waste (1275), Water (850), Transportation (1487.5), Education and Research (1062.5), and Governance (937.5). These results reflect the university's sustained efforts in energy management, waste reduction, and research initiatives. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice-Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, stated that the 35 points rise is a testament to the institution's unwavering commitment and dedication. He commended the Quality Enhancement Cell, all directorates, faculty members, and students for this achievement. Professor Dr. Muhammad Asadullah Madni, Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell, stated that this achievement is the result of the collective efforts of the Quality Enhancement Cell, the SDGs Collaboration Center, the Cholistan Institute of Desert Studies, the Green Campus initiative, the Board of Advanced Studies, and our faculty and staff. Ranking 310th globally and 10th nationally serves as proof that our environmental and quality systems are gaining global recognition. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur remains committed to advancing its initiatives and achieving high standards of sustainability in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور یو آئی گرین میٹرکس ورلڈ یونیورسٹی رینکنگز 2026 میں 35 درجے بہتری کے ساتھ 310 ویں نمبر پر آگئی ہے۔ پاکستان میں 10واں اور ایشیا میں 177 واں مقام حاصل کیاہے۔ یونیورسٹی نے یو آئی گرین میٹرکس ورلڈ یونیورسٹی رینکنگز 2026 میں 310 واں مقام حاصل کیا ہے جو 2025 میں حاصل کردہ 345 ویں مقام کے مقابلے میں نمایاں بہتری ہے۔ اس درجہ بندی کے 17 ویں ایڈیشن میں 110 ممالک کے 2016 اداروں کا جائزہ لیا گیا۔ قومی سطح پر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے پاکستان میں 10 ویں اور ایشیا میں 177 ویں پوزیشن حاصل کی۔ یونیورسٹی نے مجموعی طور پر 7787.5 اسکور حاصل کیا جس میں تمام اہم شعبہ جات میں بہترین کارکردگی کا مظاہرہ کیا گیا۔ سیٹنگ اینڈ انفراسٹرکچر (750) توانائی اور موسمیاتی تبدیلی (1425) ویسٹ مینجمنٹ/فضلہ (1275) پانی (850) ٹرانسپورٹیشن (1487.5) تعلیم و تحقیق (1062.5) اور گورننس و ڈیجیٹلائزیشن (937.5) یہ بہتری ماحولیاتی تحفظ توانائی اور فضلہ کے انتظام اور تدریس تحقیق و انتظامی امور میں پائیداری کے اصولوں کو شامل کرنے کے لیے یونیورسٹی کی مسلسل سرمایہ کاری اور کوششوں کی عکاس ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کہا کہ 2000 سے زائد عالمی اداروں کے درمیان 35 درجے بہتری ہماری پوری کمیونٹی کے عزم اور لگن کی عکاس ہے۔ وائس چانسلر نے اس کامیابی پر کوالٹی انہانسمنٹ سیل اور تمام ڈائریکٹوریٹس فیکلٹی اور طلباء کو سراہا۔ کوالٹی انہانسمنٹ سیل کے ڈائریکٹر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد اسد اللہ مدنی نے کہا کہ یہ کامیابی کوالٹی انہانسمنٹ سیل ایس ڈی جیز کولائبوریشن سینٹر، چولستان انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف ڈیزرٹ اسٹڈیز، گرین کیمپس پروجیکٹ اورک ایڈوانسڈ اسٹڈیز اینڈ ریسرچ بورڈ اور ہماری فیکلٹی و عملے کی اجتماعی کوششوں کا نتیجہ ہے۔ عالمی سطح پر 310 ویں اور ملکی سطح پر 10 ویں نمبر پر آنا اس بات کا ثبوت ہے کہ ہمارے ماحولیاتی اور معیار کے نظام عالمی سطح پر پذیرائی حاصل کر رہے ہیں۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور اپنے گرین اقدامات کو آگے بڑھانے اور اقوام متحدہ کے پائیدار ترقی کے اہداف (SDGs) کے مطابق پائیداری کے اعلیٰ معیارات کے حصول کے لیے پرعزم ہے۔
