IUB organized a two-day training workshop based on SAFE- RH project with the support of European Union

Department of Information Technology the Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized a two-day training workshop based on SAFE- RH project with the support of European Union. Sensing, Artificial intelligence, and Edge networking towards Rural Health monitoring arranged two day “Training Program” for Medical and Nursing students at Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur, University College of Nursing the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Shahida Islam Medical College Lodhran. SAFE-RH “Sensing, Artificial Intelligence, and Edge networking towards Rural Health Monitoring” project includes 5 Universities; University of the West of Scotland-UK, University De Lorraine, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Capital University of Science and Technology and COMSATS Wah Campus. The Training Programme was hosted by Department of Information Technology, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, SAFE-RH project team, Prof. Dr. Dost Muhammad Khan, Prof. Dr. Najia Saher, Dr. Omer Riaz, Mr. Faisal Shahzad and Mr. Muhammad Suleman. The delegates of SAFE-RH project Prof. Dr. Naeem Ramzan, director of the Affective and Human Computing for Smart Environment Research Centre at the University of the West of Scotland, Scotland, United Kingdom, Prof. Dr. Nayyer Masood (CUST), The team from COMSAT Wah and IUB team conducted two days Training session of three modes Online System, Mobile Application, Offline system of SAFE-RH Project. SAFE-RH Project is a combination of Sensing Devices, Artificial Intelligence, and Edge Networking. Artificial Intelligence and Sensing Devices are used to improve the accuracy of diagnoses, patient engagement, follow-ups with consultants, suggesting diagnostic tests, and continuous remote monitoring through setting up reminder messages in case of emergency. The overall objective of developing Smart Healthcare system is to support the provision of health care services in Pakistan. Moreover, SAFE-Rural-Health provides an Education and Training System to help health workers understand the use of new technologies. The event expects to attract more than 1000 participants, including medical doctors, nurses, and students representatives from the south Punjab. The training session has been designed to garner role of Artificial Intelligence in health sector researchers, academicians, doctors, nurses, paramedics. Lastly, the chief guest of this session, Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur addressed the audience. He appreciated the project and the efforts of SAFE-RH Projects team. He expressed that SAFE-RH project helps bringing the Artificial Intelligence and healthcare industry together that will be beneficial for the people of Pakistan and specially South Punjab.

 شعبہ انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے یورپی یونین کے تعاون سے RH-SAFE پراجیکٹ پر مبنی دو روزہ تربیتی ورکشاپ کا اہتمام کیا۔ شاہدہ اسلام ٹیچنگ ہسپتال لودھراں، قائدا عظم میڈیکل کالج بہاول پور اور کالج آف نرسنگ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے 800 طلباو طالبات کو مصنوعی ذہانت کے استعمال پر دو روزہ تربیت دی گئی۔ RH-SAFE پراجیکٹ ٹیم کے سربراہ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر دوست محمد خان، ڈاکٹر سلیمان اور بالخصوص یو کے میں سمارٹ انوائرمنٹ ریسرچ سنٹر کے ڈائریکٹر ایفیکٹیو اینڈ ہیومن کمپیوٹنگ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نیئر مسعود کی انتھک کاوشوں سے آن لائن سسٹم، موبائل اپیلیکیشن، آف لائن سسٹم کو متعارف کروایا۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے بغد اد الجدید کیمپس کے خواجہ فرید آڈیٹوریم میں تربیتی ورکشاپ کے اختتام پر مہمان خصوصی وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر نے RH-SAFE پراجیکٹ ٹیم کو اعزازت سے نوازا۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر نے شعبہ انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی کے ڈین پروفیسر ڈاکٹر دوست محمد، فیصل شہزاد سمیت دیگر حکام کی کاوشوں کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ پراجیکٹ پاکستانی عوام اور خاص طور پر بہاولنگر سمیت جنوبی پنجاب کی 80 فیصد سے زائد آبادی پر مشتمل مضافات کے مکینوں کو صحت مند رکھنے کے لیے فائدہ مند منصوبہ ہے۔ اس موقع پر RH-SAFE پراجیکٹ کے مندوبین اور یونیورسٹی آف دی ویسٹ آف سکاٹ لینڈ کے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نعیم رمضان، شعبہ انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی کے ڈین پروفیسر ڈاکٹر دوست محمد خان اور شعبہ انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی کے فیصل شہزاد نے الگ الگ خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ اس پراجیکٹ میں منصوعی ذہانت اور سینسنگ ڈیوائسز کا استعمال تشخیص کی درستگی، مریض کی مصروفیت، مشاورت کے ساتھ فالواپ، تشخیصی ٹیسٹ تجویز کرنے اور ایمرجنسی کی صورت میں یاد دہانی کے پیغامات ترتیب دینے کے ذریعے مسلسل ریموٹ مانیٹرنگ کے لیے استعمال کیا جائے گا۔
