The Islamia University of Bahawalpur and the Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education, Government of Punjab signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Punjab Nursing and Health Workforce Reform Program. The strategic five-year partnership was funded by the Asian Development Bank. The signing ceremony was attended by Tariq Mahmood, Director, Punjab Nursing and Health Workforce Reform Program, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor, Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Prof. Dr. Qaiser Jabeen, Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, and Dr. Farhan Mukhtar, Principal, University College of Nursing. The agreement aims to facilitate PhD Nursing and MSN degree programs, promote faculty development, update curricula to international standards, and promote collaborative research and continuing professional development.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور اور سپیشلائزڈ ہیلتھ کیئر اینڈ میڈیکل ایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ حکومت پنجاب کےمابین پنجاب نرسنگ اینڈ ہیلتھ ورک فورس ریفارم پروگرام کےلیے مفاہمتی یادداشت پر دستخط ہوئے۔ اس سٹریٹجک پانچ سالہ شراکت داری پر ایشیائی ترقیاتی بینک کی طرف سےمالی اعانت فراہم کی گئی۔پنجاب نرسنگ اینڈ ہیلتھ ورک فورس ریفارم پروگرام کے ڈائریکٹر طارق محمود اور وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور پروفیسر ڈاکٹرمحمد کامران نے دستخط کیے۔ دستخط کی تقریب میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر قیصر جبین، ڈین فیکلٹی آف فارمیسی اور فیکلٹی آف الائیڈ ہیلتھ سائنسز اور ڈاکٹر فرحان مختار، پرنسپل یونیورسٹی کالج آف نرسنگ بھی موجودگی تھے۔ معاہدے کا مقصد پی ایچ ڈی نرسنگ اور ایم ایس این ڈگری پروگراموں کی سہولت فراہم کرنے، فیکلٹی کی ترقی کو فروغ دینے، بین الاقوامی معیارات کے نصاب کو اپ ڈیٹ کرنے، اور باہمی تعاون کی تحقیق کو فروغ دینے اور پیشہ ورانہ ترقی کو جاری رکھنے کے ذریعے تعلیمی تعاون کو آگے بڑھانا ہ

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
