Inauguration of the furniture manufacturing unit established at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran and President Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Syed Zafar Sharif inaugurated the Furniture Manufacturing Unit established at Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus. The Vice Chancellor said that this Furniture Manufacturing Unit reflects the progress of self-sufficiency in various fields of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. This Furniture Manufacturing Unit is manufacturing furniture for the university such as chairs and tables for classrooms and other items. Due to the facility of the Furniture Manufacturing Unit within the university, the expenses incurred on purchasing furniture from the mark have been eliminated. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor also appreciated the efforts of the Director Furniture Manufacturing Unit Bilal Ahmed Khan and his staff, after whose tireless work the university will be provided with quality furniture prepared inhouse. The Vice Chancellor said that now the university can also increase income sources by manufacturing furniture on commercial scale. Syed Zafar Sharif said that the establishment of a Furniture Manufacturing Unit in Islamia University of Bahawalpur is very significant step and the skill of the craftsmen of the university is commendable. The delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry along with the Vice Chancellor inspected the furniture manufactured at the Furniture Manufacturing Unit and saw the observed of furniture production. Sheikh Muhammad Abbas Raza, former president, Asif Abbas, former executive member, Syed Abeer Haider, Secretary General BCCI were also present on this occasion. Registrar Muhammad Shaji ur Rehman, Treasurer Tariq Mahmood Sheikh, Director Public Relations Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, Principal Officer Estate Care Dr. Aamir Manzoor were present on behalf of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Earlier, the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry met with the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran at his office. On this occasion, entrepreneurship, promotion of talent of students, support in the teaching and research activities of the university, especially provision of cotton seeds and other issues were also discussed between the two institutions. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran presented a certificate to Muhammad Yousaf Carpenter for his excellent performance. President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Syed Zafar Sharif announced a cash prize to Carpenter. Later, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bahawalpur invited Muhammad Yousaf Carpenter and gave him a cash prize and encouraged him.

بہاولپور (پ ر) وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران اور صدر ایوان صنعت و تجارت بہاولپور سید ظفر شریف نے بغداد الجدید کیمپس میں قائم شدہ فرنیچر مینوفیکچرنگ یونٹ کا افتتاح کیا۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ یہ فرنیچر مینوفیکچرنگ یونٹ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی مختلف شعبوں میں خود کفالت میں پیش رفت کی عکاسی کرتا ہے۔ اس فرنیچر مینوفیکچرنگ یونٹ سے یونیورسٹی کے لیے فرنیچر جیسے کلاس رومز کے لیے کرسیاں اور میز اور دیگر اشیاء تیار ہورہی ہیں۔ یونیورسٹی کے اندر ہی فرنیچر مینوفیکچرنگ یونٹ کی سہولت کے باعث فرنیچر کی خریداری پر ہونے والے اخراجات کم ہو گئے ہیں۔ وائس چانسلر نے اس موقع پر فرنیچر مینوفیکچرنگ یونٹ کے ڈائریکٹر فرنیچر مینوفیکچرنگ یونٹ بلال احمد خان اور ان کے سٹاف کی کاوشوں کو بھی سراہا جن کی انتھک محنت کے بعد یونیورسٹی کو معیاری فرنیچر دستیاب ہوگا۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ اب یونیورسٹی تجارتی پیمانے پر بھی فرنیچر تیار کرکے آمدنی کا ذریعہ بناسکتی ہے۔ سید ظفر شریف نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں فرنیچر مینوفیکچرنگ یونٹ کا قیام انتہائی خوش آئند ہے اور یونیورسٹی کے کاریگروں کی ہنر مندی قابل ستائش ہے۔ ایوان صنعت و تجارت بہاولپور کے وفد نے وائس چانسلر کے ہمراہ فرنیچر مینوفیکچرنگ یونٹ میں تیار شدہ فرنیچر کا معائنہ کیا اور فرنیچر کی تیاری کے مراحل دیکھے۔ اس موقع پر شیخ محمد عباس رضا سابق صدر، آصف عباس سابق ایگزیکٹو ممبر، سید عبیر حیدر سیکرٹری جنرل بھی موجود تھے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی جانب سے رجسٹرار محمد شجیع الرحمن، خزانہ دار طارق محمود شیخ، ڈائریکٹر پبلک ریلیشنز ڈاکٹر شہزاد احمد خالد، پرنسپل آفیسر اسٹیٹ کیئر ڈاکٹر عامر منظور اور لیکچرر فیصل شہزاد موجود تھے۔ قبل ازیں ایوان صنعت و تجارت بہاولپور کے وفد نے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران سے ملاقات کی۔ اس موقع پر دونوں اداروں کے درمیان انٹرپرینورشپ، طلبا وطالبات کے ٹیلنٹ کے فروغ ، یونیورسٹی کی تدریسی سرگرمیوں میں معاونت خصوصا کپاس کے بیجوں کی فروخت میں معاونت اور دیگر امور پر تبادلہ خیال کیا گیا۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے محمد یوسف کارپنٹر کو بہترین کارکردگی پر سرٹیفکیٹ دیا۔ صدر ایوان صنعت و تجارت سید ظفر شریف نے کارپینٹر کو نقد انعام دینے کا اعلان کیا ۔ بعدازاں صدر چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری بہاولپور نے محمد یوسف کارپینٹر کو مدعو کرکے نقد انعام دیا اور حوصلہ افزائی کی۔
