In Jalalpur Pirwala Tehsil, relief supplies were distributed by the IUB Flood Relief Cell.

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is continuing its flood relief campaign to help flood-affected families. In this regard, the IUB Flood Relief Cell distributed relief materials in Tehsil Jalalpur Pirwala. Yesterday, a team of Flood Relief Cell of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur led by Focal Person Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha went to Haji Pul Tehsil Jalalpur Pirwala where medical and veterinary teams set up camps and volunteers distributed medicines, dry rations, mosquito nets, clothes and food. This activity was carried out in collaboration with the university’s partners Pakistan Overseas Forum, Makka Solar Company, Ahsan Trust, and Umeed e Sahar Pakistan Volunteer Group. According to Focal Person Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, 65 food packs including 15-day dry ration bags and 149 cooked food packs, 200 mosquito nets and women’s clothes were distributed among the flood-affected people. The IUB medical team provided medical treatment and medicines to 400 patients while the veterinary team treated over 100 animals. Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, Director Public Relations, Abdul Basit, Labor Department, Rana Amir Shahzad, Pelican Development Organization, Ahmed Shahzad, Chairman Umeed e Sahar Pakistan Volunteer Group, Dr. Waheed Abbasi and lady doctors, veterinary doctors from the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences and call center representatives were also present on the occasion.
