The Islamia University of Bahawalpur excels in the Higher Education Commission Quality Assurance Assessment with a distinguished score of 85.17, demonstrating institutional excellence, academic integrity, and continuous quality enhancement. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has achieved a distinguished milestone in its pursuit of academic and institutional excellence, securing an impressive score of 85.17 in the Annual Quality Assurance Performance Assessment conducted by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The Quality Enhancement Cell of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has been rated as meeting adequate parameters satisfactorily, a recognition that reflects the university’s strong internal quality assurance mechanisms, commitment to continuous improvement, and adherence to national and international quality benchmarks. The comprehensive evaluation by the Higher Education Commission assessed the performance of Quality Enhancement Cells across universities for the year 2023–24 against well-defined criteria, including progress on institutional performance evaluation, self-assessment of academic programs, program accreditation compliance, review of graduate programs, and the implementation fidelity of the Higher Education quality assurance policies and standards. The commendable score underscores the Islamia University of Bahawalpur effective governance, evidence-based decision-making, and sustained commitment to cultivating a culture of quality and accountability in higher education. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor, expressed profound appreciation and pride over this achievement, stating. This remarkable result reflects our strategic commitment to institutional quality enhancement, academic integrity, and the pursuit of excellence in teaching, learning, and research. It demonstrates the Islamia University of Bahawalpur’s effective implementation of best-quality practices outlined in the Higher Education Commission’s PSG 2023 Quality Assurance Framework, emphasizing evidence-based assessment, stakeholder engagement, and continuous academic improvement. This achievement is the collective outcome of our faculty’s academic leadership, administrative efficiency, and the shared vision of quality-driven advanced outcome-based education. The Vice Chancellor extended heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asadullah Madni, Director Quality Enhancement Cell, and his team for their systematic implementation of the PSG-2023 quality practices and their strategic efforts to strengthen the university’s internal quality assurance mechanisms. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asadullah Madani said that in the year 2019-21 it was 70.36 percent, in the year 2021-22 it was 72.55 percent, and in the year 2022-23 it was 80.84 percent, while in 2023-24 it was 85.17 percent. Crossing the 85% threshold marks a significant achievement. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asadullah Madni extended sincere gratitude to the university management and all academic and administrative units for their consistent support and cooperation. Hereaffirmed Quality Enhancement Cell’s resolve to institutionalize a culture of quality enhancement and advanced outcome-based education and ensure continuous continuous alignment with the Higher Education Commission Quality Assurance Framework and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 Quality Education. He emphasized that the Quality Enhancement Cell will continue to collaborate across all departments to achieve the Islamia University of Bahawalpur’s vision of excellence, sustainability, and global competitiveness in higher education.
