IEEE Lahore has elected Dr. Qaiser Ijaz of IUB to chair the Awards and Recognition Committee for a two-year term.

Dr. Qaiser Ijaz, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Systems Engineering, has been elected as the Chair of the Awards and Recognition Committee in the IEEE Lahore Section Executive Committee for a two-year term (2024-2026). Dr. Ijaz secured 60.20% of the votes in a four-candidate race, a testament to his 15+ years of dedicated service and contributions to IEEE across Punjab. During these two years, Dr. Qaiser Ijaz will oversee the student recognition programs for 21 branches (universities) and sub-sections and will collaborate with the newly elected Lahore Section Chair, Dr. Yasir Saleem (UET Lahore). IEEE Lahore Section is the oldest and most prestigious IEEE Section in Pakistan, representing the global community, especially Asia Pacific (Region 10). This achievement highlights Dr. Qaiser Ijaz’s leadership, expertise, and commitment to advancing engineering excellence. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran has congratulated Dr. Qaiser Ijaz.

بہاولپور (پ ر) شعبہ کمپیوٹر سسٹمز انجینئرنگ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر قیصر اعجاز کو دو سالہ مدت (2024-2026) کے لیے IEEE لاہور سیکشن ایگزیکٹو کمیٹی میں ایوارڈز اور شناختی کمیٹی کے چیئر کے طور پر منتخب کیا گیا ہے۔ ڈاکٹر اعجاز نے چار امیدواروں کی دوڑ میں 60.20% ووٹ حاصل کیے، جو پنجاب بھر میں IEEE میں ان کی 15+ سال کی وقف خدمات اور شراکت کا ثبوت ہے۔ ان دو سالوں میں ڈاکٹر قیصر اعجاز طلباء کی 21 شاخوں (یونیورسٹیوں) اور ذیلی حصوں کے لیے شناختی پروگراموں کی نگرانی کریں گے اور نو منتخب لاہور سیکشن چیئر، ڈاکٹر یاسر سلیم (UET لاہور) کے ساتھ تعاون کریں گے۔ IEEE لاہور سیکشن  پاکستان کا سب سے پرانا اور سب سے باوقار IEEE سیکشن عالمی سطح پر، خاص طور پر ایشیا پیسیفک (علاقہ 10) کی نمائندگی کرنا۔ یہ کامیابی ڈاکٹر قیصر اعجاز کی قیادت، مہارت، اور انجینئرنگ کی مہارت کو آگے بڑھانے کے عزم کو نمایاں کرتی ہے۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے ڈاکٹر قیصر اعجاز کو مبارکباد دی ہے۔
