Governor Punjab & Chancellor IUB Engr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rahman attended the Faiz Adabi Mela as Special guest

Punjab Governor Engr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rahman said that Faiz Ahmad Faiz is a great personality of Urdu language and literature. Faiz Ahmad Faiz is not only the most important cultural and literary reference of his era but also the most effective spokesman of the working class. The Governor of Punjab expressed these views while speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2nd Faiz Adbi Mela held at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. He said that Faiz was an ideological and revolutionary poet and had a great love for his homeland. Faiz Ahmad Faiz is an optimist who gives the message of hope and positivity. He praised the 2nd Faiz Adbi Mela organized by the Department of Urdu the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and said that the credit for organizing a high-level event in the university goes to the Vice-Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob who organized international and national conferences, literary festival, at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has become the center of attention. On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob said in his address that Faiz Ahmad Faiz was an epoch-making figure due to his thoughtful reference to Urdu language and literature. Department of Urdu is presenting the academic, literary, cultural and verbal traditions of Bahawalpur in a very beautiful way through Faiz Mela. He appreciated the special arrival of Governor Punjab and Chancellor Engr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman in Faiz Mela. On this occasion, the chairman Department of Urdu Prof. Dr. Amir Sohail expressed his gratitude and said that the Faiz Mela has been organized this year as well as last year and this year eminent personalities from all over Pakistan are participating, including Dr. Nasir Abbas Nair, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Kamran, Farrukh Sohail Goindi, Syed Tabish Alwari, Dr. Najeeb Jamal, Rana Mehboob Akhtar, Dr. Roosh Nadeem, Dr. Salahuddin Darwish, Nasir Bashir and other scholars and intellectuals. Exhibition of books and handicrafts and food stalls were also organized in this fair. Dean Faculty of Arts and Languages Prof. Dr. Javed Hassan Chandio expressed special thanks to Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob for extending supporting organizing Faiz Mela. On this occasion, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, Dean, representatives of Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, civil society, media were also present.

گورنر پنجاب انجینئر محمد بلیغ الرحمن نے کہا کہ فیض احمد فیض اردو زبان و ادب کی قدآور شخصیت ہیں۔ فیض احمد فیض اپنے عہد کا اہم ترین ثقافتی اور ادبی حوالہ ہی نہیں بلکہ محنت کش عوام کے سب سے موثر ترجمان بھی ہیں۔ گورنر پنجاب نے ان خیالات کا اظہار اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پورمیں منعقد ہونے والے دوسرے فیض ادبی میلے کی افتتاحی تقریب میں خطاب کرتے ہوئے کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ فیض ایک نظریاتی اور انقلاب پسند شاعر تھے اور اپنے وطن سے والہانہ محبت کا جذبہ رکھتے تھے۔ فیض احمد فیض امید پسند ہیں جو خزاں کے موسم میں بھی بہار آنے کا پیغام دیتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے شعبہ اردو اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے زیر اہتمام منعقد ہونے والے دوسرے فیض ادبی میلے کوسراہا اور کہا کہ یونیورسٹی میں اعلیٰ درجے کی تقریب کا منعقد کرنے کا سہرا وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کو جاتاہے جنہوں نے عالمی اور قومی کانفرنسز، ادبی فیسٹیول کو منعقد کرکے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کو مرکز نگاہ بنا دیا ہے۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہرمحبو ب نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ فیض احمد فیض اردوزبان و ادب کا مدبر حوالہ ہونے کے سبب عہد ساز شخصیت تھے۔ شعبہ اردو بہاول پور کی علمی، ادبی، تہذیبی اور فقری روایات کو فیض میلے کے ذریعے بہت خوبصورت انداز میں پیش کر رہا ہے۔ انہوں نے فیض میلے میں گورنر پنجاب و چانسلر انجینئر محمد بلیغ الرحمن کی خصوصی آمد کو سراہا۔ اس موقع پر چیئرمین شعبہ اردوپروفیسر ڈاکٹر عامر سہیل نے اظہار تشکر پیش کیا اور کہا کہ فیض میلہ گزشتہ سال کی طرح اس سال بھی منعقد کیا گیا ہے اور اس سال پاکستان بھر سے نامور شخصیات شریک ہیں جن میں ڈاکٹر ناصر عباس نیئر، ڈاکٹر شاہد اقبال کامران، فرخ سہیل گوئندی، سید تابش الوری، ڈاکٹر نجیب جمال، رانا محبوب اختر، ڈاکٹر روش ندیم، ڈاکٹر صلاح الدین درویش، ناصر بشیر اور دیگر اہل علم و دانش موجو دہیں۔ اس میلے میں کتابوں اور دستکاریوں کی نمائش اور فوڈ سٹالز کا بھی اہتمام کیا گیا۔ تقریب میں ڈین فیکلٹی آف آرٹس اینڈ لنگوئجز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جاوید حسان چانڈیو نے فیض ادبی میلے کے انعقاد پر وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کا خصوصی شکریہ ادا کیا۔ اس موقع پر پر و وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر، ڈینر، بہاول پور چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے نمائندے، سول سوسائٹی، میڈیا اور مندوبین بھی شریک تھے۔
