The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran and guidance of Dean Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amjad, has joined a consortium with National University of Sciences and Technology Islamabad and University of Engineering and Technology Lahore for the Up-skill Training Program under the Prime Minister’s National Semiconductor Human Resource Development Program. The PKR 4.8 billion national initiative, launched by the Ministry of IT & Telecom and executed by the Pakistan Software Export Board, aims to develop a highly skilled workforce in semiconductor technologies. Dr. Shahab Ahmad Niazi and Engr. Shehryar Paracha from the Department of Electronic Engineering represented The Islamia University of Bahawalpur at the signing ceremony held at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, National University of Sciences and Technology Islamabad. The partnership marks a significant milestone for The Islamia University of Bahawalpur in contributing to Pakistan’s emerging semiconductor ecosystem and high-tech workforce development.

وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران کی سربراہی اور ڈین فیکلٹی آف انجینئرنگ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد امجد کی رہنمائی میں نیشنل یونیورسٹی آف سائنسز اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی اسلام آباد اور یونیورسٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی لاہور کے ساتھ پرائم منسٹر کے نیشنل سیمی کنڈکٹر پروگرام کے تحت اپ سکل ٹریننگ پروگرام کے لیے ایک کنسورشیم بنایا گیا ہے۔ 4.8 بلین روپے مالیت کا یہ قومی اقدام وزارت آئی ٹی اور ٹیلی کام کے ذریعے شروع کیا گیا ہے۔ اس اقدام میں پاکستان سافٹ ویئر ایکسپورٹ بورڈ کا اشتراک بھی شامل ہے جس کا مقصد سیمی کنڈکٹر ٹیکنالوجیز میں ایک انتہائی ہنر مند افرادی قوت تیار کرنا ہے۔ ڈاکٹر شہاب احمد نیازی چئیرمین شعبہ الیکٹرانک انجینئرنگ اور انجینئر شہریار پراچہ نے نیشنل یونیورسٹی آف سائنسز اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی اسلام آباد کے سکول آف الیکٹریکل انجینئرنگ اینڈ کمپیوٹر سائنس میں منعقدہ دستخطی تقریب میں جامعہ کی نمائندگی کی۔ یہ شراکت داری اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے لیے پاکستان کے ابھرتے ہوئے سیمی کنڈکٹر ایکو سسٹم اور ہائی ٹیک افرادی قوت کی ترقی میں شراکت کے لیے ایک اہم سنگ میل ہے۔
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
