Dr. Azhar Hussain attended 100th Meeting of Technical Committee on Fertilizer and Allied Products, PSQCA, Ministry of Science and Technology Govt. of Pakistan 

Dr. Azhar Hussain, Soil & Environmental Microbiologist and Associate Professor   Department of Soil Science, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, participated as a Member in the 100th Meeting of the Technical Committee on Fertilizer and Allied Products, organized by the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority, PSQCA, under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of Pakistan.

The meeting was held from July 22 to 24, 2025, at Indigo Heights Hotel, Lahore, and was chaired by renowned fertilizer and Soil  Health experts Dr. Shahid Mahmood and Dr. Nadeem Tariq. Khawja Gulam Mohiuddin, Deputy Director/Incharge Chemical Division from PSQCA, has hold the meeting as Secretary.

During the 3 days session, committee engaged in in-depth deliberations on fertilizer quality standards, biofertilizers, organic fertilizers, micronutrient formulations, compost specifications, and regulatory frameworks, aiming to improve the effectiveness, safety, and sustainability of agricultural inputs across Pakistan.

Dr. Azhar Hussain participation reflects the growing role of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur in national policy-making and agricultural innovation.
