The Department of Forensic Sciences at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur hosted a one-day seminar on The Importance of Forensic Science, Its Applications and Scope in the Criminal Justice System. The event was graced by the distinguished speakers, DSP Legal Bahawalpur Abdul Rauf from Punjab Police, who shed light on how Forensic Evidence serves as the silent, infallible witness in our legal framework, and Dr. Inam Ullah, Associate Professor/Head of the Department of Forensic Sciences at the University of Lahore, who inspired the audience with the limitless scope of Forensic Science in Pakistan. We were also deeply honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Qaiser Jabeen, Dean, Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, who shared her valuable remarks and appreciated The Head of Department of Forensic Sciences, Dr Muhammad Qadeer ul Hassan, and his team on successful conduct of the event. In the seminar, the Department also celebrated the remarkable success of their fresh graduates, Muhammad Shoaib Liaqat and Hanan Ahmer, who just got selected as Junior Forensic Scientist Crime Scene Investigator at the Punjab Forensic Science Authority Lahore, and Hadia Akhter, who earned a fully funded CSC scholarship to China for pursuing her higher studies, along with several other graduates who have received acceptance letters from international Universities.

شعبہ فارنزک سائنسز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے زیر اہتمام فارنزک سائنس کی اہمیت اس کے اطلاق اور فوجداری نظامِ انصاف میں اس کے دائرہ کار کے موضوع پر ایک روزہ سیمینار کا انعقاد کیاگیا۔ اس تقریب میں ڈی ایس پی (لیگل) پنجاب پولیس بہاولپور عبدالروف نے اس بات پر روشنی ڈالی کہ فارنزک شواہد ہمارے قانونی نظام میں ایک خاموش اور ناقابلِ تردید گواہ کا کردار ادا کرتے ہیں۔ یونیورسٹی آف لاہور کے شعبہ فارنزک سائنسز کے سربراہ اور ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر انعام اللہ نے بھی شرکت کی اور پاکستان میں فارنزک سائنس کے وسیع امکانات اور دائرہ کار کے بارے میں حاضرین کو آگاہ کیا۔ ڈین فیکلٹی آف میڈیسن اینڈ الائیڈ ہیلتھ سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر قیصر جبیں نے اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کیا اور تقریب کے کامیاب انعقاد پر شعبہ فارنزک سائنسز کے سربراہ ڈاکٹر محمد قدیر الحسن ان کی ٹیم کی کاوشوں کو سراہا۔ سیمینار کے دوران شعبے نے اپنے نئے فارغ التحصیل طلباء کی شاندار کامیابیوں کا بھی ذکر کیا جن میں محمد شعیب لیاقت اور حنان احمر شامل ہیں جو حال ہی میں پنجاب فارنزک سائنس اتھارٹی لاہور میں بطور جونیئر فارنزک سائنٹسٹ / کرائم سین انویسٹی گیٹر منتخب ہوئے ہیں اور ہادیہ اختر جنہوں نے اعلیٰ تعلیم کے لیے چین کی سی ایس سی اسکالرشپ حاصل کی ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ دیگر کئی فارغ التحصیل طلباء و طالبات بھی شامل ہیں جنہوں نے بین الاقوامی یونیورسٹیوں سے داخلے کے آفر لیٹر حاصل کیے ہیں۔
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
