Department of Economics, IUB organized its first Alumni Reunion function

The Department of Economics the Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized its first ever Alumni Reunion event in collaboration with the Directorate of Alumni Affairs. This networking event was attended by 100 alumni of the Economics Department who are working at various public and private institutes. Dr. Abid Rasheed Gill Chairman Department of Economics and Dr. Azhar Hussain Director Alumni Affairs welcomed the alumni of the department on behalf of the Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob and highlighted the importance of these meet ups which not only re-alive university memories but open new avenues in the future prospects. The alumnus were briefed about the notable alumni and the recent developments in department through documentaries produced by the Economist Student Club.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے شعبہ معاشیات نے ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف ایلومنائی افیئرز کے تعاون سے پہلے ایلومنائی ری یونین ایونٹ کا اہتمام کیا۔ اس نیٹ ورکنگ ایونٹ میں اکنامکس ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے 100 سابق طلباء نے شرکت کی جو مختلف سرکاری اور نجی اداروں میں کام کر رہے ہیں۔ ڈاکٹر عابد رشید گل چیئرمین شعبہ معاشیات اور ڈاکٹر اظہر حسین ڈائریکٹر ایلومنائی افیئرز نے وائس چانسلر انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اطہر محبوب کی جانب سے شعبہ کے سابق طلباء کو خوش آمدید کہا اور سابق طلباء وطالبات کو اپنی مادر علمی سے جوڑنے اور مربوط باہمی تعاون و اشتراک سے متعلق ان کے وژن سے آگاہ کیا۔ ایلومنائی کے نمائندوں نے اس اقدام کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ یونیورسٹی کی زندہ یادیں مستقبل کے امکانات کی نئی راہیں کھولتی ہیں۔ سابق طلباء کو اکانومسٹ سٹوڈنٹ کلب کی طرف سے تیار کردہ دستاویزی فلموں کے ذریعے  سابق طلباء اور شعبہ میں ہونے والی حالیہ پیش رفت کے بارے میں آگاہ کیا گیا۔
