"Celebrating 79th Independence Week: Department of Pakistan Studies Showcases "Pakistan Gallery"

As part of the 79th Independence Day celebrations of Pakistan, the Department of Pakistan Studies at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized a one-day event titled "Display of Pakistan Gallery" in the department’s conference room.

The gallery featured a rich archive of historical photographs, highlighting the struggle for independence and the nation's journey since 1947. Students, scholars, and faculty members visited the exhibition with great enthusiasm. Dr. Imran Ali (Assistant Professor, Department of Pakistan Studies) and Muhammad Naeem Khan (Lecturer, Department of Pakistan Studies) guided the visitors through the gallery, providing valuable insights into the significance of independence and the importance of preserving national history.

The visitors appreciated the thoughtful arrangement of visual archives and lauded the department’s efforts in promoting patriotic awareness. Special thanks were extended to Dr. Robina Yasmin, Chairperson of the Department of Pakistan Studies, for her leadership and dedication in organizing this meaningful event during Pakistan’s Independence Week.

This initiative served not only as a tribute to the nation's heroic past but also as a reminder of the continued importance of unity, reflection, and national pride. 

79 ویں تقریبات: شعبہ پاکستان اسٹڈیز، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں "پاکستان گیلری" کا انعقاد

پاکستان کے 79 ویں یومِ آزادی کی تقریبات کے سلسلے میں، شعبہ پاکستان اسٹڈیز، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی جانب سے ایک روزہ تقریب "پاکستان گیلری کی نمائش" کے عنوان سے شعبہ کے کانفرنس روم میں منعقد کی گئی۔

اس گیلری میں پاکستان کی آزادی کی جدوجہد اور 1947 سے لے کر اب تک کے قومی سفر کو اجاگر کرنے والی تاریخی تصاویر کا قیمتی ذخیرہ پیش کیا گیا۔ طلباء، محققین اور فیکلٹی ممبران نے اس نمائش میں بھرپور دلچسپی کے ساتھ شرکت کی۔
ڈاکٹر عمران علی (اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر، شعبہ پاکستان اسٹڈیز), محمد نعیم خان (لیکچرر، شعبہ پاکستان اسٹڈیز) نے مہمانوں کو گیلری کا دورہ کرایا اور آزادی کی اہمیت اور قومی تاریخ کے تحفظ کی ضرورت پر روشنی ڈالی۔

شرکاء نے گیلری میں پیش کردہ تاریخی تصاویر اور اس کی ترتیب کو سراہا اور قومی شعور اجاگر کرنے کے اس اقدام پر شعبہ پاکستان اسٹڈیز کی کاوشوں کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا۔ خاص طور پر ڈاکٹر روبینہ یاسمین، چیئرپرسن شعبہ پاکستان اسٹڈیز، کو اس بامعنی تقریب کے انعقاد پر دلی شکریہ ادا کیا گیا۔

یہ اقدام نہ صرف قومی ہیروز کو خراج عقیدت پیش کرنے کا ذریعہ بنا بلکہ اتحاد، شعور، اور قومی فخر کی اہمیت کو بھی اجاگر کرنے کا موقع فراہم کیا
