Vice Chancellor of Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, has said that Islamia University of Bahawalpur is a university with a great academic heritage. The Bahawalpur region has been the cradle of the dissemination and promotion of Islamic teachings for centuries. The departments of the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies of Islamia University of Bahawalpur hold a unique position in the Islamic world in the teaching and research of religious education. The Department of World Religions and Interfaith Harmony can play a significant role in the promotion of the universal teachings of Islam at the global level. The teachers should attract students towards high-level research so that the beauty and truth of Islam can be spread throughout the world. The Vice Chancellor expressed these views while addressing the graduation ceremony of the Department of World Religions and Interfaith Harmony. On this occasion, the students who passed out MS and BS were awarded certificates of appreciation and the faculty members were given honorary shields. Chairperson of the Department of World Religions and Interfaith Harmony Dr. Sajeela Kausar gave a briefing on the teaching and research activities of the department. The ceremony was also attended by Dean of the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiqur-ur-Rehman, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amjad and heads of various teaching departments of the faculty.

وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کہا ہے کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور عظیم الشان علمی میراث کی حامل جامعہ ہے۔ خطہ بہاولپور صدیوں سے اسلامی تعلیمات کی اشاعت و ترویج کا گہوارہ رہا ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عریبک اسٹڈیز کے شعبہ جات دینی تعلیم کی تدریس و تحقیق میں عالم اسلام میں منفرد مقام رکھتے ہیں۔ شعبہ عالمی مذاہب اور بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی عالمی سطح پر دین اسلام کی آفاقی تعلیمات کے فروغ میں نمایاں کردار ادا کرسکتا ہے۔ اساتذہ کرام طلباءوطالبات کو اعلٰی درجے کی تحقیق کی جانب راغب کریں تاکہ پوری دنیا میں اسلام کی خوبصورتی اور سچائی کو پھیلایا جاسکے۔ وائس چانسلر نے ان خیالات کا اظہار شعبہ عالمی مذاہب اور بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی کی تقسیم اسناد کی تقریب سے خطاب کرتےہوئےکیا. اس موقع پر ایم ایس اور بی ایس کے پاس آؤٹ ہونے والے طلباء وطالبات کو تعریفی اسناد سے نوازا گیا اور فیکلٹی ممبران کو اعزازی شیلڈز دی گئیں۔ چیئرپرسن شعبہ عالمی مذاہب اور بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی ڈاکٹر سجیلا کوثر نے شعبہ کی تدریسی و تحقیقی سرگرمیوں سے متعلق بریفنگ دی۔ تقریب میں ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عریبک اسٹڈیز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن، ڈین فیکلٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد امجد اور فیکلٹی کے مختلف تدریسی شعبوں کے سربراہان نے بھی شرکت کی۔
