Antimicrobial resistance week was celebrated under the aegis of Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. An awareness walk was organized in connection with this World AMR Awareness Week which lasted from November 18 to 24. This initiative was the result of an understanding and collaboration between the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, National Institute of Health Islamabad, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and The Fleming Fund (UK). The main theme of the event was Anti-Microbial Resistance Together i.e. achieving resistance and protection against microbial pathogens through collaboration. Dean Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khalid Mansoor presided over the walk, along with chairpersons, faculty members and students of various departments of the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences.

فیکلٹی آف وٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے زیر اہتمام انٹی مائکروبیل رززسٹنس کا ہفتہ منایا گیا۔ 18 سے 24 نومبر تک جاری رہنے والے اس عالمی AMR آگاہی ہفتہ کے سلسلے میں آگاہی واک کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ یہ اقدام فیکلٹی آف ویٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاولپور، نیشنل انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف ہیلتھ اسلام آباد، اقوام متحدہ کے فوڈ اینڈ ایگریکلچر آرگنائزیشن اور دی فلیمنگ فنڈ (یو کے) کے مابین طے پا جانیوالی مفاہمت اور اشتراک کا نتیجہ تھا۔ تقریب کا مرکزی موضوع انسداد مائیکروبیئل ریزسٹنس ٹوگیدر یعنی اشتراک عمل سے مائکربینی جراثیموں کے خلاف مزاحمت اور تحفظ کا حصول تھا۔ ڈین فیکلٹی آف ویٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد خالد منصور نے واک کی صدارت کی، ان کے ہمراہ فیکلٹی آف ویٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز کے مختلف شعبہ جات کے چیئرپرسنز، فیکلٹی ممبران اور طلباء بھی موجود تھے۔
