A tree plantation drive was launched in connection with the IUB's 100th year and the Independence Day celebrations.

Bahawalpur (PR) A massive tree plantation drive was launched in connection with the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and the Independence Day celebrations. The Department of Social Work has launched this campaign in collaboration with the Consortium on Climate Change, Sustainability and Conservation and Faizan Global Relief Foundation (FGRF). The campaign was formally inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran and Registrar Shaji ur Rehman by planting a sapling at the Old Campus. These saplings were donated to the Department of Social Work by Faizan Global Relief Foundation, and all this activity was possible with the mutual collaboration of these two institutions. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran appreciated the efforts of the Chairman of the Department of Social Work Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, faculty members, students and administrators. He also appreciated the efforts of Director Public Relations Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid, Dr. Aamir Manzoor Principal Officer Estate Care, and Muhammad Tahir, who played a key role in organizing this important event. The Vice Chancellor expressed his special gratitude to the Divisional Representatives of Faizan Global Relief Foundation, Dr. Muhammad Arshad and Dr. Abdul Rauf. He also reiterated his commitment to further strengthen this partnership in the future. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha said that Faizan Global Relief Foundation has previously donated saplings for tree plantation campaigns at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, and 5000 saplings have been provided in the recent campaign. He further said that the foundation will also provide 1500 lemon saplings in the next phase for the establishment of a special lemon orchard at the university. This tree plantation campaign is not only a reflection of the promotion of eco-friendly attitudes but also a proof of the active involvement of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in social, environmental and national development.

بہاولپور (پ ر) اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی 100 سالہ تقریبات اور معرکہ حق جشنِ آزادی کی تقریبات کے سلسلے میں وسیع شجرکاری مہم کا آغاز کیا گیا۔ ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف سوشل ورک نے کنسورشیم آن کلائمیٹ چینج، سسٹینیبلیٹی اینڈ کنزرویشن اور فیضان گلوبل ریلیف فاؤنڈیشن (FGRF) کے تعاون سے اس مہم کا آغاز کیا گیا ہے۔ اس مہم کا باقاعدہ افتتاح وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران اور رجسٹرار شجیع الرحمن نے اولڈ کیمپس میں پودا لگا کر کیا۔ یہ پودے فیضان گلوبل ریلیف فاؤنڈیشن کی جانب سے ڈپارٹمنٹ آف سوشل ورک کو عطیہ کیے گئے، اور یہ تمام سرگرمی ان دونوں اداروں کے باہمی اشتراک سے ممکن ہوئی۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف سوشل ورک کے چیئرمین پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا، فیکلٹی ممبران، طلباء و طالبات، اور منتظمین کی کاوشوں کو سراہا۔ انہوں نے بالخصوص ڈائریکٹر پبلک ریلیشنز ڈاکٹر شہزاد احمد خالد، پرنسپل آفسیر اسٹیٹ کئیر ڈاکٹر عامر منظور، اور محمد طاہر کی کوششوں کو بھی سراہا جنہوں نے اس اہم تقریب کے انعقاد میں کلیدی کردار ادا کیا۔ وائس چانسلر نے فیضان گلوبل ریلیف فاؤنڈیشن کے ڈویژنل نمائندگان ڈاکٹر محمد ارشد اور ڈاکٹر عبدالرؤف کا خصوصی شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے مستقبل میں اس اشتراک کو مزید مضبوط بنانے کے عزم کا اعادہ بھی کیا۔ اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا نے بتایا کہ فیضان گلوبل ریلیف فاؤنڈیشن اس سے قبل بھی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں شجرکاری مہمات کے لیے پودے عطیہ کرچکی ہے، اور حالیہ مہم میں 5000 پودے فراہم کیے گئے ہیں۔ انہوں نے مزید بتایا کہ فاؤنڈیشن آئندہ مرحلے میں 1500 لیموں کے پودے یونیورسٹی میں ایک خصوصی لیموں آرچڈ (Lemon Orchard) کے قیام کے لیے بھی فراہم کرے گی۔ یہ شجرکاری مہم نہ صرف ماحول دوست رویوں کے فروغ کی عکاسی ہے بلکہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی سماجی، ماحولیاتی اور قومی ترقی میں سرگرم شمولیت کا ثبوت بھی ہے۔
