A delegation of teachers and students of IUB visited Jinnah House Lahore to express solidarity with Pakistan Army

On the direction of Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur,  a delegation of teachers and students visited Jinnah House Lahore to express solidarity with the Pakistan Army. The visit was organized by the Directorate of Outreach, Communication and Public Relations, the Islamia University Bahawalpur in collaboration with ISPR. The delegation made a detailed visit to Jinnah House Lahore and the participants were given a briefing about the sad and condemnable incident of May 9th. After seeing the heart-wrenching scenes of Jinnah House Lahore, the faculty members Dr. Zia-ur-Rehman, Dr. Ramzan Tahir and Ms. Marina Rashid, who were part of the delegation, expressed their views and said that the tragedy of May 9 was extremely horrific that it shook the entire nation. After this cruel incident, the whole nation is suffering from mental agony. For any nation, its sensitive installations, historical buildings, and cultural heritage are of great importance. Their protection and respect is mandatory for the entire nation. They are symbols of national unity and security. An attack on these historical buildings and national assets is tantamount to an attack on the security and identity of this country. We, on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, students, teachers, and other departments of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, strongly condemn this incident and reiterate that we stand by our Pakistan Army. On this occasion, we also pay our respects to our martyrs who have protected the blessing of our freedom in every age by sacrificing their lives. We demand that the law enforcement agencies, after thorough investigation, should punish those involved in the May 9 tragedy strictly according to the laws of the country so that such incidents do not happen again in the future. After visiting Jinnah House Lahore, the delegation participated in the evening flag lowering ceremony at the Wagah border and expressed solidarity with the Pakistan Army.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے اساتذہ اور طلباء وطالبات کے وفد نے انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹراطہر محبوب وائس چانسلر کی خصوصی ہدایت پر پاک فوج سے اظہار یکجہتی کے لئے جناح ہاؤس لاہور کا دورہ کیا۔ اس دورے کا اہتمام شعبہ تعلقات عامہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور نے آئی ایس پی آر کے اشتراک سے کیا تھا۔ وفد نے جناح ہاؤس لاہور کا تفصیلی دورہ کیا اور شرکا کو 9 مئی کے افسوسناک اور قابل مذمت واقعہ کے بارے میں مکمل بریفنگ دی گئی ۔ جناح ہاؤس لاہور کے دلخراش مناظردیکھنے کے بعد وفد میں شامل فیکلٹی ممبران ڈاکٹر ضیا ء الرحمن، ڈاکٹر رمضان طاہر اور مرینہ رشید نے اپنے تاثرات کا اظہار کرتے ہوئےکہا کہ 9 مئی کا سانحہ انتہائی ہولناک ہے کہ اس نے پوری قوم کو لرزا کر رکھ دیا۔ اس بے رحم واقعہ کے بعد پوری قوم افسردگی اور ذہنی اذیت کا شکار ہے۔ کسی بھی قوم کے لئے اُس کی حساس تنصیبات، تاریخی عمارات اور ثقافتی ورثہ بہت اہمیت کا حامل ہوتا ہے۔ ان کی حفاظت اور احترام پوری قوم پر لازم ہے۔ یہ قومی یکجہتی اور سلامتی کی علامت ہوتے ہیں۔ ان تاریخی عمارتوں اور قومی اثاثوں پر حملہ اس ملک کی سلامتی اور شناخت پر حملے کے مترادف ہوتا ہے۔ ہم اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے وائس چانسلر، طلباء ، اساتذہ اور دیگر شعبہ جات کی طرف سے اس واقعہ کی پُر زور مذمت کرتے ہیں اور اس بات کا اعادہ کرتے ہیں کہ ہم اپنی پاک فوج کے شانہ بشانہ کھڑے ہیں۔ ہم اس موقع پر اپنے شہدا کو بھی خراج عقیدت پیش کرتے ہیں کہ جنہوں نے اپنی جانوں کے نذرانے پیش کر کے ہماری آزادی کی نعمت کی ہر دور میں حفاظت کی۔ ہمارا مطالبہ ہے کہ قانون نافذ کرنے والے اِدارے مکمل تحقیقات کے بعد سانحہ 9 مئی میں ملوث افراد کو ملکی قوانین کے تحت کڑی سے کڑی سزا دیں تاکہ مستقبل میں ایسے واقعات دوبارہ رونما نہ ہوں۔ جناح ہاؤس لاہور کے دورے کے بعد وفد نے واہگہ بارڈر پر شام کو پرچم اُتارنے کی تقریب میں شرکت کر کے ملی بیداری اور پاک فوج سے اظہار یکجہتی کیا۔
