Working Together for Humanity: Umeed e Sahar and IUB Flood Relief Operations

Umeed e Sahar Pakistan Volunteer Group participated in relief activities in the flood-affected area of Jalalpur Pirwala Haji Pul. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Flood Relief Cell of Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Umeed e Sahar team distributed meals among the victims and provided assistance to the distressed families with the aim of alleviating immediate suffering and restoring hope. The team members included Ahmed Shahzad Chairman, Hamza Ali Haqi Finance Secretary Muhammad Ahmed Imran Public Relations Officer, Haris Shahzad, Photographer Daniyal Rashid, Executive Advisor Umar and Abu Bakar Javed members. During the visit, the team observed the difficult conditions faced by the displaced communities. Due to the rising flood waters, a large number of people have been forced to leave their homes. People are living in tents and temporary shelters in open areas with their families. It is estimated that hundreds of people have been displaced in the area and continuous assistance is needed. Umeed e Sahar distributed 150 food boxes and ensured immediate food for the families displaced by the flood.  This relief activity was carried out by dedicated volunteers under the age of 18. The Flood Relief Cell of Islamia University of Bahawalpur played a key role in this mission, which provided medical assistance, health check-ups, veterinary medicine, mosquito nets and information awareness. In the second phase, Umeed e Sahar Pakistan will provide hygiene kits to flood-affected children. امید سحر پاکستان رضاکار گروپ نے سیلاب سے متاثرہ علاقے جلال پور پیر والا حاجی پل میں امدادی سرگرمیوں میں حصہ لیا۔ یہ اقدام فلڈ ریلیف سیل اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے تعاون سے کیا گیا۔ امید سحر ٹیم نے متاثرین میں تیار کھانا تقسیم کیا اور مصیبت زدہ خاندانوں کو مدد فراہم کی جس کا مقصد فوری مصائب کو دور کرنا اور امید کی بحالی ہے۔ ٹیم ممبران میں احمد شہزاد چیئرمین حمزہ علی حقی فنانس سیکرٹری ایم احمد عمران پبلک ریلیشن آفیسر حارث شہزاد فوٹوگرافر دانیال رشید ایگزیکٹو ایڈوائزر عمر اور ابوبکر جاوید ممبران شامل تھے۔ دورے کے دوران ٹیم نے بے گھر کمیونٹیوں کو درپیش مشکل حالات کا مشاہدہ کیا۔ سیلاب کے پانی میں اضافے کی وجہ سے لوگوں کی ایک بڑی تعداد اپنے گھر بار چھوڑنے پر مجبور ہوگئی ہے۔ لوگ کھلے علاقوں میں خیموں اور عارضی پناہ گاہوں میں اپنے خاندانوں کے ہمراہ رہ رہے ہیں۔ ایک اندازے کے مطابق اس علاقے میں سینکڑوں افراد بے گھر ہوچکے ہیں اور مسلسل امداد کی ضرورت  ہے۔ امید سحر نے 150 کھانے کے ڈبے تقسیم کیے اور سیلاب سے بے گھر ہونے والے خاندانوں کے لیے فوری خوراک کو یقینی بنایا۔ یہ امدادی سرگرمی 18 سال سے کم عمر سرشار رضاکاروں نے کی ہے ۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے فلڈ ریلیف سیل نے اس مشن میں کلیدی کردار ادا کیا جس میں طبی امداد ہیلتھ چیک اپ ویٹرنری میڈیسن کی فراہمی اور مچھر دانیاں اور معلوماتی آگاہی فراہم کی گئی۔  دوسرے مرحلے میں امید سحر پاکستان سیلاب سے متاثرہ بچوں میں حفظان صحت کا سامان مہیا کرے گی ۔امید سحر پاکستان رضاکار گروپ نے خصوصی تعاون پر آئی یو بی فلڈ ریلیف سیل کے فوکل پرسن پروفیسر ڈاکٹر آصف نوید رانجھا کا شکریہ اداکیا ہے۔
