Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran has implemented a code of conduct for student events at IUB

A code of conduct has been implemented for student events by the Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran. This code of conduct was read out in the first student panchayat on May 27, 2025. According to this code of conduct, our beloved homeland, Pakistan, is an Islamic ideological state. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (Abbasia University) is a university with a hundred years of history, which was established in 1925 under the great Islamic and national vision of the Nawabs of Bahawalpur. The current Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan, is one of the largest research and educational institutions in Asia and the world. In this historical and academic background, a code of conduct has been implemented for the events of the students of the university so that the events held at the university reflect our religious, social, and cultural values. The basis of all our activities and events will be based on Islamic values, two-nation theory, national and national unity, local socio-cultural traditions, and discipline of the students.  The code of conduct further states that the university’s events should not be mere entertainment but should be a means of educational and cultural promotion and character building. The elements of decency, dignity, and mutual respect should prevail in the components of the events. Similarly, religious, social, and cultural sensitivities should be kept in mind. Students should prefer national and regional dresses in the choice of clothing. Along with national and regional languages, international languages are prevalent in the events. However, offensive satirical or political content should be avoided. The Vice Chancellor has directed that the Deans of the University, Directors of Campuses, Heads of Academic Departments and the Directorate of Students Affairs will be responsible for enforcing this code of conduct for the events of students. Furthermore, detailed rules and regulations will be issued in accordance with this code of conduct.

وائس چانسلر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران کی جانب سے طلباء و طالبات کی تقریبات کے لئے ضابطہ اخلاق نافذ کیا گیا ہے۔ یہ ضابطہ اخلاق 27 مئی 2025 کو پہلی طلبہ پنچائیت میں پڑھ کر سنایا گیا۔ اس ضابطہ اخلاق کے مطابق وطن عزیز پاکستان ایک اسلامی نظریاتی مملکت ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور (جامعہ عباسیہ) ایک سو سالہ تاریخ کی حامل جامعہ ہے جو نوابین بہاولپور کے عظیم الشان اسلامی اور ملی وژن کے تحت 1925 میں قائم ہوئی۔ موجودہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور پاکستان براعظم ایشیا اور دنیا کے بڑے تحقیقی اور تعلیمی اداروں میں سے ایک ہے۔ اسی تاریخی اور علمی پس منظر میں یونیورسٹی کے طلباء و طالبات کی تقریبات کے لئے ضابطہ اخلاق نافذ کیا گیا ہے تاکہ جامعہ میں منعقد ہونے والی تقریبات ہماری مذہبی سماجی اور ثقافتی اقدار کی آئینہ دار ہوں۔ ہماری تمام سرگرمیوں اور تقریبات کی بنیاد اسلامی اقدار دو قومی نظریہ قومی و ملی یکجہتی مقامی سماجی و ثقافتی روایات اور طلباء وطالبات کے نظم و ضبط پر قائم ہوگی۔ ضابطہ اخلاق میں مزید کہا گیا ہے کہ جامعہ کی تقاریب محض تفریح کا سامان نہ ہوں بلکہ تعلیمی و ثقافتی ترویج اور کردار سازی کا ذریعہ ہوں۔ تقاریب کے اجزاء میں شائستگی وقار اور باہمی احترام کا عنصر غالب ہونا چاہیے۔ اسی طرح مذہبی سماجی اور ثقافتی حساسیت کو ملحوظ خاطر رکھا جائے۔ طلباء وطالبات لباس کے انتخاب میں قومی لباس اور علاقائی ملبوسات کو ترجیح دیں۔ تقریبات میں قومی اور علاقائی زبانوں کیساتھ ساتھ عالمی زبانیں مروج ہیں تاہم جارحانہ طنزیہ یا سیاسی مواد سے اجتناب کیا جائے۔ وائس چانسلر نے ہدایت کی ہے کہ جامعہ کے ڈینز ڈائریکٹر کیمپسز تدریسی شعبہ جات کے سربراہان اور ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف اسٹوڈنٹس افیئرز طلباء وطالبات کی تقریبات کے لئے اس ضابطہ اخلاق پر پابندی کے ذمہ دار ہوں گے۔ مزید برآں اسی ضابطہ اخلاق کے مطابق تفصیلی قواعد و ضوابط کا اجراء کریں گے۔
