Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran has said that the university is like a home for students and teachers are like parents. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is a great historical university which is the guardian of wonderful cultural and academic traditions. Newly arrived students should take full advantage of this rare and excellent opportunity of higher education and become a source of pride for themselves and their parents and teachers. The Vice Chancellor expressed these views while addressing the grand orientation ceremony of new students organized by the Directorate of Students Affairs at Khawaja Farid Auditorium in Baghdad ul-Jadeed Campus today. Thousands of students participated in the introductory ceremony in two sessions. The Vice Chancellor said that all attention and resources have been devoted to quality education and educational programs in line with the needs of the modern era at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. A schedule of teaching activities is being prepared to ensure timely and regular holding of classes. Similarly, co-curricular activities have also been given a new dimension for the training and character building of students. All educational programs of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur have been linked to artificial intelligence so that our students can confidently enter the domestic and global job market. He said that the new students should take care of discipline, attendance at classes and regularity of laboratory work. On this occasion, for the first time in the history of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, an oath was taken from the students of academic dedication, loyalty to the educational institution, patriotism, high moral values and discipline. This is the first time that a special oath was taken from the students on the instructions of the Vice Chancellor at the beginning of the academic session at the university. On this occasion, Director Students Affairs and Dean Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences Professor Dr. Abdul Rauf gave a detailed lecture to the students regarding the teaching schedule, educational facilities and discipline. The students were also informed about the anti-narcotics and anti-harassment policies of the Higher Education Commission and the relevant offices in the university in this regard. The students were also provided with detailed information about transport, hostels, medical and sports facilities. Similarly, they were also informed about the facilities for special students. He said that the Directorate of Students Affairs organizes the discipline of the students in all campuses as well as their training and provides them with an opportunity to hone their skills through student societies. Deans and senior teachers participated in both the events.

وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کہا ہے کہ یونیورسٹی طلبا و طالبات کے لیے ایک گھر کی طرح ہے اور اساتذہ کرام والدین کی مانند ہیں۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور ایک عظیم تاریخی یونیورسٹی ہے جو شاندار تہذیبی اور علمی روایات کی امین ہے۔ نئے آنے والے طلباوطالبات اعلیٰ تعلیم کے اس نادر اور بہترین موقع سے بھرپور فائدہ اٹھائیں اپنے اور والدین و اساتذہ کے لیے فخر کا باعث بنیں۔ اپنے خاندان اساتذہ اور علاقے کا نام روشن کریں۔ وائس چانسلر نے ان خیالات کا اظہار آج بغدادالجدید کیمپس میں ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف اسٹوڈنٹس افیئرز کے زیر اہتمام خواجہ فرید آڈیٹوریم میں نئے آنے والے طلباوطالبات کی تعارفی تقریب سے خطاب میں کیا۔ ہزاروں کی تعداد میں طلباوطالبات نے دو سیشنز میں تعارفی تقریب میں شرکت کی۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں کوالٹی ایجوکیشن اور دور جدید کی ضروریات سے ہم آہنگ تعلیمی پروگراموں کے لیے تمام تر توجہ اور وسائل وقف کردئیے گئے ہیں۔ تدریسی سرگرمیوں کا ایسا شیڈول مرتب کیا جارہا ہے کہ کلاسز کا بروقت اور باقاعدہ انعقاد یقینی ہو۔ اسی طرح طلبا وطالبات کی تربیت اور کردار سازی کے لیے ہم نصابی سرگرمیوں کو بھی نئی جہت ملی ہے۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے تمام تعلیمی پروگرام آرٹیفیشل انٹیلیجنس سے منسلک کیے گئے ہیں تاکہ ہمارے طلباوطالبات ملکی اور عالمی جاب مارکیٹ میں بااعتماد انداز میں قدم رکھ سکیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ نئے آنے والے طلباوطالبات نظم و ضبط ،حاضری کلاسز اور لیبارٹری ورک کی باقاعدگی کا خیال رکھیں۔اس موقع پر اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کی تاریخ میں پہلی مرتبہ طلباو طالبات سے علمی لگن تعلیمی ادارے سے وفاداری حب الوطنی اعلیٰ اخلاقی اقدار اور نظم و ضبط کی پاسداری کا حلف لیا گیا۔ یہ پہلا موقع ہے کہ جامعہ میں تعلیمی سیشن کے آغاز کے موقع پر وائس چانسلر کی ہدایت پر طلباو طالبات سے خصوصی حلف لیا گیا۔ اس موقع پرڈائریکٹر اسٹوڈنٹس افیئر و ڈین فیکلٹی آف کیمیکل اینڈ بائیولوجیکل سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالروف نے طلباو طالبات کو تدریسی شیڈول تعلیمی سہولیات اور نظم وضبط کے حوالے سے تفصیلی لیکچر دیا۔ طلباو طالبات کو ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کی اینٹی نارکوٹیکس اور اینٹی ہراسمنٹ پالیسیوں اور اس سلسلے میں جامعہ میں متعلقہ دفاتر سے متعلق بھی آگاہ کیا گیا۔ طلباو طالبات کو ٹرانسپورٹ ہاسٹلز میڈیکل اور کھیلوں کی سہولیات سے متعلق بھی تفصیلی آگاہی فراہم کی۔ اسی طرح اسپیشل طلباو طالبات کے لیے بھی سہولیات کے بارے میں بتایا گیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف اسٹوڈنٹس افیئرز تمام کیمپسز میں طلباو طالبات کے نظم و ضبط کے ساتھ ساتھ ان کی تربیت کا بھی اہتمام کرتا ہے اور طلبہ سوسائیٹیز کے ذریعے ان کی صلاحیتوں کو نکھارانے کا موقع فراہم کرتا ہے۔ دونوں تقاریب میں ڈینزاور سینئر اساتذہ کرام شریک ہوئے۔
