The open defense of two PhD scholars from the Department of Information Management will held on June 19, 2025.

The Department of Information Management, under the Faculty of Social Sciences, will conduct the public defense of two Ph.D. scholars on June 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Conference Room of Khawaja Ghulam Fareed Auditorium, BJ Campus, Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB).

Mr. Azhar Hassan Nadeem will defend his thesis titled “Practices and implications of blockchain technology in academic libraries of Pakistan,” supervised by Dr. Khurshid Ahmad, Associate Professor, Department of Information Management.
Mr. Sohail Shoukat will present hies thesis on “Developing collaborative digital reference among university libraries of Pakistan,” supervised by Dr. Muhammad Younus, Associate Professor, Department of Information Management.
The external examiners for the defense will be Dr. Muhammad Ijaz Mairaj, Chief Librarian at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore.
