The IUB Flood Relief Cell team, along with other relief organizations, visited the Mouza Mari Qasim Shah.

A joint field visit was conducted at Mauza Marri Qasim Shah, Bahawalpur, by Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Focal Person, IUB Flood Relief Cell; Mr. Shujaat Ali, Representative, UN OCHA (South Punjab); Ms. Uzma Ahmad, Director Programs, Pelican Development Organization; and Mr. Rana Amir Shehzad, Representative, Pelican Development Organization.

The delegation reviewed the ongoing house construction project proposed by The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, funded by Pakistan Overseas Forum Mandi Bahauddin, and implemented by Pelican Development Organization.

Mr. Shujaat Ali from UN OCHA appreciated the joint efforts of the IUB Flood Relief Cell, Pelican Development Organization, and Pakistan Overseas Forum Mandi Bahauddin for supporting flood-affected families in South Punjab.

Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha shared that Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran is personally monitoring the IUB Flood Relief Cell’s activities and has directed to continue IUB’s services in flood-affected areas including rescue, rehabilitation, and reconstruction until all families are fully resettled.
