The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, organized an Anti-Smog Awareness Seminar and Walk to promote public awareness about the harmful effects of smog and air pollution and emphasize the importance of environmental protection. The seminar was organized by the IUB Climate Change and Environmental Protection Society under the Directorate of Student Affairs, with the sponsorship of the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC). Participants highlighted the need for collective action to reduce air pollution, promote clean air, adopt environmentally friendly practices, and protect public health. The Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of raising environmental awareness among students and the wider community, encouraging responsible behavior and practical measures to combat smog and climate change. The initiative reaffirmed IUB’s commitment to environmental sustainability, healthier lives, a greener environment, and a safer future for coming generations.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران کی قیادت میں سموگ سے متعلق آگاہی سیمینار اور واک کا اہتمام کیا گیا۔ اس سرگرمی کا مقصد سموگ اور فضائی آلودگی کے مضر اثرات کے بارے میں عوامی شعور بیدار کرنا اور ماحولیاتی تحفظ کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کرنا تھا۔ اس سیمیناراور واک کا اہتمام ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف اسٹوڈنٹ افیئرز کے زیرِ انتظام 'آئی یو بی کلائمیٹ چینج اینڈ انوائرنمنٹل پروٹیکشن سوسائٹی نے آفس آف ریسرچ، انوویشن اینڈ کمرشلائزیشن کے تعاون سے کیا تھا۔ شرکاء نے فضائی آلودگی میں کمی، صاف ہوا کے فروغ، ماحول دوست طریقوں اپنائے جانے اور عوامی صحت کے تحفظ کے لیے اجتماعی اقدامات کی ضرورت پر زور دیا۔ وائس چانسلر نے طلبہ اور کمیونٹی میں ماحولیاتی آگاہی بڑھانے، اسموگ اور موسمیاتی تبدیلیوں سے نمٹنے کے لیے ذمہ دارانہ رویے اور عملی اقدامات کی حوصلہ افزائی کرنے پر زور دیا۔
