Dr. Shahab Ahmed Niazi, Chairperson, Department of Electronic Engineering, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, visited Harbin Engineering University, China. During the visit, he delivered a special lecture to the students and faculty members. During his visit, he also presented a commemorative shield of Islamia University of Bahawalpur to the Principal of College of Underwater Engineering in recognition of academic cooperation and institutional goodwill.

ڈاکٹر شہاب احمد نیازی چیئرپرسن شعبہ الیکٹرانک انجینئرنگ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پورنے ہاربن انجینئرنگ یونیورسٹی چائنہ کا دورہ کیا۔ دورے کے دوران انہوں نے طلباء اور فیکلٹی ممبران کو خصوصی لیکچردیا۔ اپنے دورے کے دوران انہوں نے تعلیمی تعاون اور ادارہ جاتی خیر سگالی کے اعتراف میں کالج آف انڈر واٹر انجینئرنگ کے پرنسپل کو اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاولپور کی یادگاری شیلڈ بھی پیش کی۔
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
