IUB Art and Photography Society held an online exhibition titled “Salute to the Workers” for Labor Day 2025.

The Art and Photography Society of Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized an online photography e-exhibition titled “Salute to the Workers” on the occasion of Labor Day, with the aim of paying tribute to the workers of Bahawalpur. The members of the society went to various places in Bahawalpur, such as markets, roads, workshops, and other public places, and took pictures of the daily life of the workers themselves. The students of the photography society photographed the workers for this e-exhibition with great sincerity and responsibility. These pictures were arranged in a regular manner and given the form of an online exhibition so that the viewers could get an opportunity to understand the struggle and role of the working class better. Its main objective was to highlight the services of the workers with dignity and respect. This e-exhibition was not only a visual creative effort but also a means of promoting the tendency of positive competition and social consciousness among the students.  Through this activity, young photographers learned how to use a camera to build a dignified relationship with people around them and how to convey an effective social message through photography.
This e-exhibition proved to be a dignified and purposeful effort, which not only paid tribute to the working class but also played an important role in the intellectual and artistic development of the students. This exhibition not only highlighted the importance of Labour Day but also promoted social awareness and respect for humanity among the youth.
Under the guidance of teachers Farjad Faiz (Advisor), Faraz Shah, Muhammad Shafiq, and Khadija Khan (Co-Advisors), the Art Aayand Photography Society team demonstrated their creative skills and innovation. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf Director of Students Affairs and Dr. Muhammad Adnan Bukhari, Additional Director of Students Affairs, congratulated the Art and Photography Society team.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی آرٹ آیند فوٹوگرافی سوسائٹی نے یومِ مزدور کے موقع پر "محنت کشوں کو سلام" کے عنوان سے ایک آن لائن فوٹوگرافی ای-ایگزیبیشن کا انعقاد کیا، جس کا مقصد بہاولپور کے محنت کشوں کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرنا تھا۔ سوسائٹی کے ممبران نے بہاولپور کے مختلف مقامات جیسے بازار، سڑکوں، ورکشاپس اور دیگر عوامی مقامات پر جا کر محنت کشوں کی روزمرہ زندگی کی تصاویر خود کھنچی۔ فوٹوگرافی سوسائٹی کے طلبہ نے اس ای-ایگزیبیشن کے لیے محنت کشوں کی تصاویر کو نہایت خلوص اور ذمہ داری کے ساتھ عکس بند کیا۔ ان تصاویر کو باقاعدہ ترتیب دے کر ایک آن لائن نمائش کی شکل دی گئی تاکہ ناظرین کو محنت کش طبقے کی جدوجہد اور کردار کو بہتر انداز میں سمجھنے کا موقع مل سکے۔ اس کا بنیادی مقصد محنت کشوں کی خدمات کو عزت و وقار کے ساتھ اجاگر کرنا تھا۔
یہ ای-ایگزیبیشن نہ صرف ایک بصری تخلیقی کاوش تھی بلکہ طلبہ میں مثبت مقابلے کے رجحان اور سماجی شعور کو فروغ دینے کا ذریعہ بھی بنی۔ اس سرگرمی کے ذریعے نوجوان فوٹوگرافرز نے سیکھا کہ کس طرح کیمرہ استعمال کرتے ہوئے اپنے گرد و نواح کے افراد کے ساتھ باوقار تعلق قائم کیا جا سکتا ہے، اور کیسے تصویر کے ذریعے ایک مؤثر سماجی پیغام دیا جا سکتا ہے۔
یہ ای-ایگزیبیشن ایک باوقار اور بامقصد کاوش ثابت ہوئی، جس نے محنت کش طبقے کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ طلبہ کی فکری اور فنی نشوونما میں بھی اہم کردار ادا کیا۔ اس نمائش نے نہ صرف یومِ مزدور کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کیا بلکہ نوجوانوں میں سماجی شعور اور احترامِ انسانیت کے جذبات کو بھی فروغ دیا۔
اساتذہ کرام فرجاد فیض (ایڈوائزر)، فراز شاہ، محمد شفیق اور خدیجہ خان (کوایڈوائزرز)   کی رہنمائی میں آرٹ آیند فوٹوگرافی سوسائٹی ٹیم نے اپنی تخلیقی مہارت اور جدت کا مظاہرہ کیا۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران،  پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالرؤف ڈائریکٹر اسٹوڈنٹس افیئرز اور ڈاکٹر محمد عدنان بخاری، ایڈیشنل ڈائریکٹر آف اسٹوڈنٹ افیئرز نے  آرٹ آیند فوٹوگرافی سوسائٹی کی ٹیم کو مبارک باد دی ہے۔
