During the Holy month of Ramadan a series of Quran learning courses will be offered in Islamia University Bahawalpur campuses Baghdad Ul-Jadeed Campus, Abbasia Campus, Khawaja Farid Campus, Rahim Yar Khan Campus and Bahawalnagar Campus under the special guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar and under the patronage of Dean Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq ur Rehman. A  complete translation of the Holy Quran with Tafseer and understanding of Quran short course "Ramadan and Quran" is being started. In this program, a complete tour of the Holy Quran with translation and commentary, understanding of the Quran short course (basic) and understanding of the Quran short course (advanced) will be organized.  In this regard, a special briefing was given to Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Naveed Akhtar in the video conference room of the main auditorium.  Dean Professor Dr. Shaikh Shafiq ur Rahman said that the complete tour of the Holy Quran with translation and interpretation will be done by Dr. Shafqat Rahman, ex-interpreter of Masjid Nabawi/lecturer of the Department of Translation Studies. Madrasa of Fahm Quran Short Course (advance) Prof. Dr. Zia ur Rahman, Chairman of the Department of Quranic Studies.  Islamia University Bahawalpur.  Understanding Quran Short Course (Basic) is being organized in all faculties of Islamia University Bahawalpur.  The teachers of this course will be Muhammad Nadeem Malik, Muhammad Amin, Muhammad Ibrahim Salik, Muhammad Salim, Ali Raza and Ummat ur Rehman from the Department of Translation Studies.  Similarly, the complete tour of Holy Quran with translation and interpretation program will start from 1st of Ramadan in other campuses of Islamia University Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan Campus and Bahawalnagar Campus.  Dr. Hafiz Wajid Mehmood, Lecturer, Department of Translation Studies, will perform the teaching duties in Rahim Yar Khan Campus.  Dr. Hafiz Abid-ur-Rehman will be the head of teaching in Bahawalnagar campus. Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq-ur-Rehman said that not only the students of all the campuses of the university but also the teachers and staff members will benefit from these programs in the auspicious hours of the month of fasting.Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar while appreciating the organization of this workshop said that it is very important to use the teachings of the Holy Quran to educate and train students and make them good human beings. He congratulated the Dean Faculty of  Islamic and Arabic Studies, congratulated Professor Dr. Sheikh Shafiq ur Rehman and said that the students of the university are getting attracted towards Quranic teachings which is a welcome development.

 ماہ صیام میں مکمل ترجمہ قرآن مع تفسیر’’رمضان اور قرآن‘‘ اور شارٹ کورسز کا انعقاد۔
اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے کیمپسز بغداد الجدید کیمپس، عباسیہ کیمپس، خواجہ فرید کیمپس، رحیم یار خان کیمپس اور بہاولنگر کیمپس میں وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر کی خصوصی ہدایت اور ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عریبک اسٹڈیز پروفسیر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن کی سرپرستی  میں ماہ رمضان کے دوران قرآن مجید کا مکمل ترجمہ مع تفسیر اور فہم قرآن شارٹ کورس’’ رمضان اور قرآن ‘‘ کا آغاز کیا جا رہا ہے۔ اس پروگرام میں مکمل دورہ قرآن کریم مع ترجمہ و تفسیر ، فہم قرآن شارٹ کورس (بیسک) اور فہم قرآن شارٹ کورس (ایڈوانس) کا اہتمام کیا جائے گا۔ اس سلسلے میں وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر کو ویڈیو کانفرنس روم مرکزی آڈیٹوریم میں خصوصی بریفنگ دی گئی۔ ڈین پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن نے بتایا کہ مکمل دورہ قرآن کریم مع ترجمہ و تفسیر کے مدرِس ڈاکٹر شفقت الرحمن سابق مترجم مسجد نبوی/ لیکچرار شعبہ ٹرانسلیشن اسٹڈیز ہوں گے۔ فہم قرآن شارٹ کورس ( ایڈوانس) کے مدرِس پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ضیاء الرحمن چیئرمین شعبہ قرآنک اسٹڈیز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور ہوں گے۔ فہم قرآن شارٹ کورس (بیسک) اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کی تمام فیکلٹیز میں منعقد کیا جارہا ہے۔ اس کورس کے مدرِسین شعبہ ٹرانسلیشن اسٹڈیز کے دیگر اساتذہ کرام  محمد ندیم ملک ، محمد امین، محمد ابراہیم سالک، محمد سلیم، علی رضا اور امت الرحمٰن ہوں گے۔ اسی طرح مکمل دورہ قرآن کریم مع ترجمہ و تفسیر پروگرام کا آغاز اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کے دیگر کیمپسز رحیم یار خان کیمپس اور بہاولنگر کیمپس میں یکم رمضان المبارک سے ہوگا۔ رحیم یار خان کیمپس میں تدریس کے فرائض ڈاکٹر حافظ واجد محمود لیکچرر شعبہ ٹرانسلیشن اسٹڈیز سر انجام دیں گے۔ جبکہ بہاولنگر کیمپس میں تدریس کے فرائض ڈاکٹر حافظ عابد الرحمٰن سر انجام دیں گے۔ ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمن نے کہا کہ ماہ صیام کی مبارک گھڑیوں میں ان پروگرامز سے نہ صرف یونیورسٹی کے تمام کیمپسز کے طلباء و طالبات بلکہ اساتذہ اور عملہ کے افراد بھی مستفید ہوں گے، اور مکمل ترجمہ قرآن مع تفسیر کے ساتھ ساتھ جدید عربی قواعد سے بھی مستفید ہوں گے۔
وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نوید اختر نے اس ورکشاپ کے انعقاد کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ طلبا و طالبات کی تعلیم و تربیت اور انہیں اچھا انسان بنانے کے لئے قرآن کریم کی تعلیمات سے استفادہ بہت ضروری ہے۔ انہوں نے ایسے پروگرام کے انعقاد پر ڈین فیکلٹی آف اسلامک اینڈ عریبک اسٹڈیز، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شیخ شفیق الرحمٰن کو مبارکباد دی اور کہا کہ یونیورسٹی کے طلبا و طالبات قرآنی تعلیمات کی جانب راغب ہورہے ہیں جو نہائت خوش آئند امر ہے۔
