A special seminar was organized in connection with Kashmir Siege Day under the auspices of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Directorate of Students Affairs Kashmir and Nazriya Pakistan Society. In his message Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran said that India’s decision to abrogate the special constitutional status of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and abrogate Articles 370 and 35-A of its Constitution on 5th August 2019 was a clear violation of United Nations resolutions, international laws and the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people. He said that after this unilateral move, human rights violations, political oppression, population changes and restrictions on civil liberties have continuously increased in occupied Kashmir, on which the international community should play an effective role. In his address, Dr. Ramzan Tahir Advisor Kashmir and Nazriya Pakistan Society while shedding comprehensive light on the historical, political, legal and diplomatic aspects of the Kashmir issue, said that Kashmir is the key to peace and stability in South Asia and a lasting solution to this conflict is possible only in accordance with the UN resolutions and the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people. He urged the youth to be aware of the facts of the Kashmir issue and effectively highlight this national and human issue at the academic and intellectual level. A large number of university teachers, administrative officers, students and the general public participated in the seminar. The participants strongly condemned the continuous violation of the basic human rights of the Kashmiri people in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, oppression and Indian atrocities, and expressed their full support for the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people. At the end of the seminar, the commitment was reiterated that efforts to effectively highlight the Kashmir issue at every national, academic and international forum, to continue unwavering moral, political and diplomatic support for the just struggle of the Kashmiri people for freedom and right to self-determination, and to expose India's human rights violations to the world conscience will be continued in a more effective and systematic manner.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور، ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف اسٹوڈنٹس افیئرز کشمیر اینڈ نظریۂ پاکستان سوسائٹی کے زیرِ اہتمام یومِ استحصالِ کشمیر کے حوالے سے ایک خصوصی سیمینار منعقد کیا گیا۔ سیمینار کے شرکاء کے نام اپنے پیغام میں وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے کہا کہ 5 اگست 2019 کو بھارت کی جانب سے مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر کی خصوصی آئینی حیثیت ختم کرنے اور اپنے آئین کے آرٹیکل 370 اور 35-A کی منسوخی اقوامِ متحدہ کی قراردادوں، بین الاقوامی قوانین اور کشمیری عوام کے بنیادی حقوق کی صریح خلاف ورزی تھی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اس یک طرفہ اقدام کے بعد مقبوضہ کشمیر میں انسانی حقوق کی پامالی، سیاسی جبر، آبادی کے تناسب میں تبدیلی اور شہری آزادیوں پر قدغن میں مسلسل اضافہ ہوا ہے، جس پر عالمی برادری کو مؤثر کردار ادا کرنا چاہیے۔ ڈاکٹر رمضان طاہر ایڈوائزر کشمیر اینڈ نظریہ پاکستان سوسائٹی نے اپنے خطاب میں مسئلہ کشمیر کی تاریخی، سیاسی، قانونی اور سفارتی جہات پر جامع روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے کہا کہ کشمیر جنوبی ایشیا میں امن و استحکام کی کنجی ہے اور اس تنازع کا پائیدار حل صرف اقوامِ متحدہ کی قراردادوں اور کشمیری عوام کے حقِ خودارادیت کے مطابق ہی ممکن ہے۔ انہوں نے نوجوانوں پر زور دیا کہ وہ مسئلہ کشمیر کے حقائق سے آگاہ رہتے ہوئے علمی و فکری سطح پر اس قومی اور انسانی مسئلے کو مؤثر انداز میں اجاگر کریں۔ سیمینار میں یونیورسٹی کے اساتذہ، انتظامی افسران، طلباء اور عوام الناس کی بڑی تعداد نے شرکت کی۔ شرکاء نے مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر میں کشمیری عوام کے بنیادی انسانی حقوق کی مسلسل پامالی، ظلم و جبر اور بھارتی مظالم کی شدید الفاظ میں مذمت کرتے ہوئے کشمیری عوام کے حقِ خودارادیت کی بھرپور حمایت کا اظہار کیا۔ سیمینار کے اختتام پر اس عزم کا اعادہ کیا گیا کہ مسئلہ کشمیر کو ہر قومی، علمی اور بین الاقوامی فورم پر مؤثر انداز میں اجاگر کرنے، کشمیری عوام کی منصفانہ جدوجہدِ آزادی اور حقِ خودارادیت کی غیر متزلزل اخلاقی، سیاسی اور سفارتی حمایت جاری رکھنے، اور بھارت کی جانب سے انسانی حقوق کی خلاف ورزیوں کو عالمی ضمیر کے سامنے بے نقاب کرنے کی کوششیں مزید مؤثر اور منظم انداز میں جاری رکھی جائیں گی۔
