20th Convocation of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur was held

The 20th Convocation of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur was held at Khawaja Ghulam Farid Auditorium, Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, as per the authority delegated by the Governor of Punjab and Chancellor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, awarded medals and degrees to the graduates of the spring semester 2017 to 2021. Among the recipients of the certificates were 2697 students, including 111 PhD, 744 MPhil, 79 gold medalists and 79 silver medalists. Deputy Speaker Provincial Assembly Punjab Malik Zaheer Iqbal Chanter and former Governor Punjab Engineer Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman were the chief guests at the ceremony. Deputy Speaker Provincial Assembly Punjab Malik Zaheer Iqbal Chanter said that the world knows that higher education is the force that changes the destiny of nations. Societies that prioritize knowledge achieve progress, stability and dignity. In this regard, convocation is not just a ceremony, it is a symbol of the collective consciousness where the nation entrusts the responsibility of the future to its youth.  He said that this institution has played a fundamental role in the educational, cultural, scientific and social formation of the region. This institution has produced such students who are today demonstrating their abilities in every field across the country. Bahawalpur has always been a land of knowledge and wisdom. The soil here has Sufism, civilization and depth of research which makes it distinguished in the prominent academic atmosphere of Pakistan. Engineer Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman said that today Islamia University of Bahawalpur is not just an educational institution but has become a harmonious center of research, innovation, technology, cultural sensitivity and social service. He said that the university has made significant progress in the field of educational quality and research in recent times. The position of Islamia University of Bahawalpur in national and international rankings is continuously improving. Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran congratulated the students, parents, teachers and dignitaries on the convocation on behalf of Chancellor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan. The Vice Chancellor said that a comprehensive program has been launched for the betterment of the university, which includes high educational standards, financial stability and links with international universities.  Islamia University of Bahawalpur is striving to improve the quality of teaching and research and is presenting research products for industrial use. Recently, in a major project exhibition, projects of artificial intelligence, data science, cyber security, electrical and electronics engineering were exhibited, which are of civil and defense nature. The world ranking institutions of universities, recognizing the educational development of Islamia University of Bahawalpur, have included it in the top 10 universities of Pakistan, 281 in Asia and the top 847 in the world. An International Alumni Chapter has been included in the university, the first grand ceremony of which is being held today itself. The recent floods caused great destruction across the country. On this occasion, the IUB Flood Relief Cell helped thousands of flood victims in rescue, relief and rehabilitation. In the field of agriculture, Islamia University of Bahawalpur is actively participating in the Green Pakistan Initiative and the university’s cotton varieties are being cultivated on a large scale in Punjab.  The ceremony was attended by Members Provincial Assembly Sohail Zahid Khan and Rana Tariq Khan,  Vice Chancellor of Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan, Professor Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed, Vice Chancellor of Khawaja Farid University of Engineering and Technology, Rahim Yar Khan, Professor Dr. Imran Azam, Vice Chancellor ,Vice Chancellor of Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur, Professor Dr. Mazhar Ayaz, Deans, Principal Officers, teachers, city elders and media representatives.

اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور کا بیسواں کانووکیشن خواجہ غلام فرید آڈیٹوریم بغدادالجدید کیمپس میں منعقد ہوا۔ اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے گورنر پنجاب و چانسلر سردار سلیم حیدر خان کے تفویض کئے گئے اختیار کے مطابق بہار سیمسٹر 2017 تا 2021 کے گریجویٹس کو میڈل اور ڈگریاں عطا کیں۔ اسناد حاصل کرنے والوں میں 2697 طلباوطالبات شامل تھے جن میں 111 پی ایچ ڈی 744 ایم فل 79 گولڈ میڈلسٹ اور79 سلور میڈلسٹ شامل تھے۔تقریب میں ڈپٹی سپیکر صوبائی اسمبلی پنجاب ملک ظہیر اقبال چنٹر  اور سابق گورنر پنجاب انجینئر محمد بلیغ الرحمن مہمانان خصوصی تھے۔  ڈپٹی سپیکر صوبائی اسمبلی پنجاب ملک ظہیر اقبال چنٹر نے کہا کہ دنیا جانتی ہے کہ اعلیٰ تعلیم ہی وہ قوت ہے جو قوموں کی تقدیر بدلتی ہے ۔ جو معاشرے علم کو ترجیح دیتے ہیں وہی ترقی استحکام اور وقار حاصل کرتے ہیں۔ اس اعتبار سے کانووکیشن محض ایک تقریب نہیں یہ اس اجتماعی شعور کی علامت ہے جہاں قوم اپنے نوجوانوں کو مستقبل کی ذمہ داری سونپتی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اس ادارے نے خطے کی تعلیمی تہذیبی سائنسی اور سماجی تشکیل میں بنیادی کردار ادا کیا ہے۔ اس ادارے نے ایسے طلباو طالبات تیار کیے ہیں جو آج ملک بھر میں ہر شعبے میں اپنی صلاحیتوں کا لوہا منوارہے ہیں۔ بہاول پور ہمیشہ سے علم و حکمت کی سرزمین رہا ہے۔ یہاں کی مٹی میں تصوف ہےتہذیب ہے تحقیق کی گہرائی ہے جو اسے پاکستان کی نمایاں علمی فضا میں ممتاز بناتی ہے۔ انجینئر محمد بلیغ الرحمن نے کہا کہ آج اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور محض ایک تدریسی ادارہ نہیں بلکہ تحقیق جدت  ٹیکنالوجی تہذیبی حساسیت اور سماجی خدمت کا ایک ہم آہنگ مرکز بن چکی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ یونیورسٹی نے حالیہ عرصے میں تعلیمی معیار اور تحقیق کے میدان میں نمایاں ترقی کی ہے۔ قومی اور بین الاقوامی رینکنگ میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کا مقام مسلسل بہتر ہو رہا ہے۔ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے چانسلر سردار سلیم حیدر خان کی جانب سے طلباو طالبات والدین اساتذہ اور معززین کو کانووکیشن کی مبارکباد دی۔ وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ جامعہ کی بہتری کے لیے ہمہ جہتی پروگرام کا آغاز کیا گیا ہے جس میں اعلی تعلیمی معیار مالی استحکام اور عالمی جامعات سے روابط شامل ہیں۔ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور تدریسی وتحقیقی معیار میں اضافے کےلیے کوشاں ہے اور تحقیقی پروڈکٹس کو صنعتی استعمال کے لیے پیش کر رہی ہے۔ حال ہی میں ایک بڑی پراجیکٹ نمائش میں آرٹیفیشل اینٹیلیجنس ڈیٹا سائنس سائبر سیکورٹی الیکٹریکل اور الیکٹرونکس انجینئرنگ کے پراجیکٹس کو نمائش میں پیش کیا گیا جو سول اور دفاعی نوعیت کے ہیں۔ جامعات کی عالمی درجہ بندی کے اداروں نے اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کی تعلیمی ترقی کا ادراک کرتےہوئے پاکستان کی پہلی 10 ایشیاء کی 281 اور دنیا کی اولین 847 جامعات میں شامل کیا ہے۔ یونیورسٹی میں انٹرنیشنل ایلومنائی چیپٹر شامل کیا گیا ہے جس کی پہلی شاندار تقریب آج ہی کے دن منعقد ہو رہی ہے۔ حالیہ سیلاب میں ملک کے طول و عرض میں بڑی تباہی ہوئی ۔ اس موقع پر آئی یو بی فلڈ ریلیف سیل نے ہزاروں سیلاب متاثرین کو بچاؤ راحت اور بحالی میں مدد کی۔ زراعت کے شعبے میں اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور گرین پاکستان انیشیٹو میں بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لے رہی ہے اور یونیورسٹی کی کپاس کی اقسام پنجاب میں بڑے پیمانے پر کاشت ہو رہی ہے۔ تقریب میں ممبر صوبائی اسمبلی سہیل زاہد خان، ممبر صوبائی اسمبلی رانا طارق خان،وائس چانسلر غازی یونیورسٹی ڈیرہ غازی خان پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اشفاق احمد، وائس چانسلر خواجہ فرید یونیورسٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی رحیم یار خان پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عمران اعظم، وائس چانسلر چولستان یونیورسٹی آف ویٹرنری اینڈ اینیمل سائنسز بہاولپور پروفیسر ڈاکٹر مظہر ایاز، ڈینز پرنسپل آفیسر، اساتذہ ، عمائدین شہر اور میڈیا نمائندوں نےشرکت کی۔
