Major Objectives of the Department
The major focus of Forestry, Range and Wildlife Management is to ensure sustainable flow of wood and non-wood forest products and service while at the same time ensuring protection and maintenance of Biodiversity for the benefit of the present and future generations through active participation of all stake holders. We are aiming to enhance the quantitative and qualitative contribution of the sector towards the nations socio-economic development in a sustainable manner. We undertake significant, innovative research, and promote an interdisciplinary environment that attracts world-class scholars and graduate students. We are looking forward to provide forest habitats with associated natural plant and animal communities for recreational use by the citizens of this state.
