Bahawalpur (                            ): Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor, Islamia University of Bahawalpur has said that youth can play a basic role in the awakening of the awareness and   consciousness about the significance of human rights in the society; as a model Islamic society cannot be formed without strict and balanced implementation of both duties and rights. He was addressing the intervarsity video conference   on the stimulation of youth in highlighting their due role and responsibilities about human rights. The video conference was organized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and was participated by the students of University of Gujrat, University of Faisalabad and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar while reviewing the human rights on the scientific basis said that according to molecular biology all human beings are equal and there is no classification of race, creed, color and caste. This significant factor is already an integral part of Islamic teachings and the last sermon of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) provides the complete charter of human rights which he delivered on the eve of His Farewell Holy Hajj Pilgrimage. The Vice Chancellor, University of Gujrat, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nizamuddin emphasized on the youth with reference to his expression on human rights said that they can bring a positive change in the country through democracy. The Vice Chancellor, University of Faisalabad, Prof. Dr. Zakir Hussain said that by following the Islamic teachings, the rights and responsibilities can be fulfilled amicably and in this regard heavy responsibility lies with the young generation. Chairman, Fazal Dad Human Rights Institute, Islamabad Naeem Sarfaraz delivered an extensive lecture on the topic of the seminar and answered the queries of the students. The efforts of the representative of Higher Education Commission, Murtaza Noor were lauded for organizing an innovative Video Conference. The Chairperson Political Science Department IUB Prof. Dr. Razia Mussarat, faculty members and a large number of students participated in this exclusive event.
