Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has said that University College of Engineering and Technology (UCET) possesses a prominent position due to its academic standards all over the country and the passed out graduates of UCET have shown outstanding performance in the public and private sector institutions. The presence of the students from all the four provinces and the federally administered areas is an obvious proof of its academic standard. The Vice Chancellor was talking to the faculty and students of UCET during a surprise visit. The Vice Chancellor visited the various class rooms during his visit and exchanged views with the students regarding their academic activities. He sought the information about the attendance, provision of various scholarship, hostels and transport from the students. He also made queries from the faculty members about the educational performance of the students, course of studies and academic schedule. He also presided over a meeting of the senior faculty members in which Principal UCET Prof. Jan Muhammad Keerio informed the Vice Chancellor about the ongoing curricular and co-curricular activities. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor welcomed the senior faculty members who have recently joined the UCET and hoped that with their experience and knowledge the students will get equipped with the latest educational trends. |
