Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has praised the dedication, professional capability, knowledge friendly attitude and extraordinary services of Regional Police Officer, Bahawalpur, Capt. (R) Syed Muhammad Abid Qadri during farewell dinner in his honor at Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus last night. The Vice Chancellor added that hailing from a religious and literary family, Muhammad Abid Qadri has inherited passion for literature. This was the reason that he has always shown personal interest in maintaining knowledge friendly environment in the University. He always participated and encouraged students in various events of art exhibitions, seminars and sports activities. On this occasion, Muhammad Abid Qadri said that it was an honor for him to be offered farewell by a galaxy of academia and thanked the Vice Chancellor for hosting the memorable evening. He appreciated Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar for cooperation and guidance extended to him during his tenure in Bahawalpur. He was pleased to share that situation of law and order in all three districts of Bahawalpur region was exemplary as compared to the rest of the province. He also thanked the support of police companions in this regard. He said that he has learnt respect for seniors from his family upbringing and professional training. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar presented him a copy of the Holy Quran and other gifts. German Scholar Dr. Andreas Matzke, Commissioner Bahawalpur, Muhammad Khan Khichi, District Coordination Officer, Dr. Naeem Rauf, Principal, Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Syed Khalid Bukhari, Chairman Education Board, Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ali, Brig. Athar Naeem Khakwani, Brig. Khadim Hussain, Rana Khalid Luqman, Director, Shamim Group of Industries, Farooq Ahmed Khan, Director, Cholistan Development Council, Director, Vasaib Masood Sabir and senior faculty members were also present on this occasion. |
