Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has extended greetings on the beginning of Holy Month of Ramzan to citizens of Bahawalpur in particular and fellow countrymen in general and has prayed to Allah the Almighty for bestowing the benevolence and beneficence. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar has sent messages of felicitations of Ramzan to the Vice Chancellors of all public/private sector universities, the executives of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and Government of the Punjab Higher Education Department. He said that for awakening of religious passion and patriotism in view of actual message of the holy month of Ramzan, we must exchange Ramzan’s greetings for enhancement of unity and integrity among Muslim Ummah. We must observe sanctity and benevolence of this holy month similar to followers of other faiths of world, who make such religious occasion memorable with their active participation. He added that month of Ramzan can prove to be the best source of our mutual social links and provide us lesson for the passion of sacrifice, patience and tolerance. The Vice Chancellor also congratulated students of the IUB and said that youth should create sentiments among themselves according to spirit of holy month of Ramzan and must follow the path of their forefathers to perform duty of guiding the nation. Ramzan also gives this opportunity throughout the month to gather blessing and munificence of Allah the Almighty through moderation and worship. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar further said that as previously the proper arrangements for Taraweeh prayers have also been made in a congenial manner in masjids of all campuses. The security and estate care staff on duty will also be provided Sehri and Iftari meals.
