MoU signed on the commencement of the Joint Projects of Educational Development between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Desert Rangers

 
Bahawalpur ( ) The Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof Dr Muhammad Mukhtar and the Sector Commander Desert Rangers Bahawalpur Brig Ejaz Ahmed Najaf have signed a MoU of mutual co-operation and rapprochement for educational development between the two institutions. The MoU were duly signed in an exclusive ceremony held at Desert Rangers Headquarters on the occasion of the visit of the Vice Chancellor. According to this MoU, Islamia University Bahawalpur and Desert Rangers will provide proper platform for creating a better academic environment in the University and Rangers Public School / College by accumulating the technical and logistic resources at one place. Both the institutions will also endeavour jointly for a durable academic development. The University will co-operate in the development and improvement of the teaching methodology and new educational projects will be initiated through mutual consultation. In this regard the Desert Rangers will provide a building for teaching activities in addition to the provision of boarding facilities to the girls students of the university. Both the institutions will mutually also embark on Short courses programmes for the benefit of the local population. Furthermore financial help would be sought from national and international organizations to launch joint educational projects in Bahawalpur Division. Especially both institutions will make joint efforts to initiate distance education from the university. The Vice Chancellor said on this occasion that the Desert Rangers has been playing a vital role in social and educational development of Bahawalpur in addition to its basic role and Rangers School / College is a leading institution in the educational development. He appreciated the role of Desert Rangers for the rehabilitation of flood affected areas. Sector Commander Desert Rangers, Bahawalpur Ejaz Ahmed Najaf said that Islamia University Bahawalpur was located in the heart of Pakistan and has been providing highly educated and skilled manpower to the country. Both the institutions could play an effective role in the academic, social and economical development of the soil of Bahawalpur. Later the Vice Chancellor visited the girls hostel building provided for IUB girls students by the Desert Rangers in the company of Sector Commander. He lauded the excellent boarding facilities being provided to the girl students and hoped that through this effort the residential problem of the girls students would be solved to a great extent. He also inquired from the students about the boarding facilities and expressed his satisfaction. On this occasion during a briefing it was informed that quality mess, internet, games facility and lady rangers have also been provided for security of the girls. The Deans, some administrative personnel of IUB and officers of Rangers were also present on the occasion.
