Prof Dr Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has said that all of us must perform our duties by strictly following the professional ethics and must keep in priority to pay loyalty to our organization. He advised the university finance wing to formulate a budget based on austerity measures and savings for the proper utilization of available resources. The exact information about the number of students and the buildings in use in addition to other facilities must be submitted to the budget committee for proper determining of the resources and the wastage resources and unnecessary expenditure could be avoided. The Vice Chancellor was addressing the deans, principal colleges and head of the departments in a special meeting under his chair. It was decided in the meeting that the summer vacations in the university will be observed from 16th July to 31st August 2012, while administrative departments will remain open as usual. Prof Dr Muhammad Mukhtar advised the heads of teaching departments to implement an identical almanac in all campuses so that the students of all faculties must take their examinations according to a similar schedule, and a central teaching calendar. The Vice Chancellor asked to immediately impose campus management system in all departments to bring regularity and transparency in the teaching system. He directed the officials associated with the Distance Education System to design a comprehensive introductory brochure. He also asked Registrar to issue a notification about the information of dropout students and all teaching departments are required to submit the required information to the relevant authorities well in time. The faculty members on this occasion congratulated the Vice Chancellor for selection of the IUB for organizing the World Camel Conference and assured to extend utmost cooperation in holding of World Camel Conference. |
