Delegates from Lodhran held a meeting with Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar in his office, in which various problem faced by the students of the IUB belonging to Lodhran District were brought into notice. The delegates included Muhammad Tufail Thakur President Trade Union Lodhran, M. Sharif General Secretary Trade Union Lodhran, Shafquat Rasool Dogar Advocate, Malik Zafar Ullah Varya Advocate High Court and Rao Ali Hussain Khan. They briefed the Vice Chancellor that the students residing in Lodhran face difficulty due to unavailability of transport facility which adversely affects their academic performance. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar said that due to shortage of funds university is finding it hard to meet the transportation requirements. However, appropriate efforts can be made to resolve the problems of the students. He also requested the civil society and people belonging to political and social circles to make individual efforts in this regard. The delegates also put forward request for the provision of hostels for especially the female students of Lodhran. Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the delegates of disclosing the problems of the students of their area and ensured every possible cooperation for the resolution of these problems.
