Bahawalpur ( ): Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has said that the university has been making rapid advancement towards its goal of becoming the renowned educational institution of the Islamic world; hence in this regard it is the responsibility of the university faculty to entrust its total energies for the promotion of the betterment of academic standards and research activities. The Vice Chancellor was addressing a special meeting of the Deans, Principals Colleges and Heads of Departments. He said that it is a proof of the popularity of IUB that not only PhD scholars from local universities, but from renowned foreign universities are aspiring to join the university and are feeling pride on this association. Apart from this, the provincial and federal institutions have also been encouraging IUB for providing funds on priority basis. This overall success has been possible due to the combined dedication and commitment last year; which enabled the academic activities to be continued in peaceful and conducive environment. The Vice Chancellor announced the launching of LLM classis in the Law Department and declared it a milestone in the history of IUB. He advised the faculty to make punctuality as their daily habit so that the university affair could be managed in an organized manner. It is worth mentioning that the Vice Chancellor paid a surprise visit of the teaching and administrative departments of IUB in Abbasia Campus early morning yesterday and directed the faculty and staff to ensure the discipline. The Vice Chancellor also apprised the participants about the progress in the construction work of the buildings of Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan Campuses and Agriculture College. He expressed his determination to continue the administrative reforms, so that financial deficit may be controlled. The Vice Chancellor on this occasion advised the management to provide all facilities to students and ensure the academic discipline. |
