The Islamia University
of Bahawalpur will establish a medical college with
a state of the art medical laboratory and planned hospital
of 300 beds at Jhangi Wala Road can be attached with
this college. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor
was discussing with Malik Muhammad Iqbal Chanar, Provincial
Minister for Prisons during his visit to the university.
The Vice Chancellor also briefed the Minister about
various academic and developmental projects in the university.
Prof. Mukhtar said that the university management is
planning to cultivate 900 acres land at Baghdad-ul-Jadeed
Campus to raise university's income. A rose garden will
also be established on 10 acres land for research purposes
and provide recreational facility not only for the students
and employees of the university but for the people of
Bahawalpur also. Provincial Minister appreciated the
campus beauty and offered his support in all developmental
projects including the medical college. The Vice Chancellor
appreciated the efforts of Malik Iqbal Chanar for the
provision of good quality food and betterment of other
facilities for the prisoners. Prof. Mukhtar also apprised
about flood relief campaign and activities of the university
Flood Relief Cell to rehabilitate the flood victims.
Deans and Registrar were also present on the occasion.
The Vice Chancellor also presented souvenirs to Provincial
Prisons Minister. |
