A German
Foundation, Alexander Von Humboldt has awarded Rs. 4.7
Million grant to the Islamia University of Bahawalpur
for purchasing research equipment named "HPLC System".
This equipment will be used for a research project on
medicine plants of Cholistan Desert. This grant is awarded
to Dr. Muhammad Saleem, Associate Professor and Dr.
Naheed Riaz, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry
for their research project.
The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar has congratulated
both the scholars over this achievement, he further
hoped that the addition of this equipment will help
to show better results in research. The Vice Chancellor
also thanked the German Foundation for supporting research
activities at IUB. Previously, the University had received
a similar type of grant from Humboldt Foundation for
a project.
