Vice Chancellor, the
Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad
Mukhtar chaired the 53rd meeting of Board of Advanced
Studies and Research (BASAR). Matters related to admissions
and registration of the Ph.D and M.Phil scholars of
various departments of IUB were discussed and finalized
in the meeting. The Ph.D scholars who successfully defended
their thesis were also nominated for awarding Ph.D degrees.
Muhammad Sharif Assi of Education department, Sajid
Asadullah, Abid Hussain Qasarani and Farhat Jabeen of
Islamic Studies department, Muhammad Zahir Faridi of
Economics department, Altaf Hussain of Physics department,
Saleem Abbass of Media Studies department, Muhamad Hussain
Tahir of Statistics department, Muhammad Shafique of
Arabic department and Abdul Sattar Ali Khan of Chemistry
Department have been approved for the award of Ph.D
degree. During the meeting the implementation progress
of the decisions made in the previous meeting was also
evaluated and pending cases were discussed and finalized.
