A group of students of the Media Studies department, Islamia University, Bahawalpur visited the Punjab University, Lahore on the invitation of the Vice-Chancellor, Punjab University, Lahore, Prof. Dr. Mujahid Kamran. The IUB group of students headed by Prof. Dr. Abdul Wajid Khan visited various sections of the Punjab University, Lahore including the Institute of Communication Studies, South Asia Studies Centre, Library, Sports Complex, Faisal Auditorium, FM Radio, University Production House, TV Centre, Hameed Nizami Auditorium, academic, administrative and research sections of different department. The Director, Students Affairs, Punjab University, Lahore, Dr. Shahid Gul and the Director, Institute of Communication Studies, Dr. Noushina Saleem received the students group and briefed about the functions of different departments of the Punjab University, Lahore. The Head of the students group of the IUB Media Studies department, Prof. Dr. Abdul Wajid Khan extended gratitude over giving the chance of visiting the historical university of the world and said that this visit would help a lot in the knowledge and practical experience of the students and remarked that he was grateful of the Vice-Chancellor, Punjab University, Lahore, Prof. Dr. Mujahid Kamran, Shahid Gul and Dr. Noushina Saleem for the hospitality and informative visit. He further stated that the Islamia University, Bahawalpur had been heading towards rapid progress in academic, research, co-curricular activities and healthy environment under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor, IUB/GSCWU, Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar and the recent improvement in the HEC Ranking was the simple prove of it as the IUB is on 8th position in the HEC ranking of the national universities. Earlier, the Director, Institute of Communication Studies, Punjab University, Lahore, Dr. Noushina Saleem remarked that she started her teaching career from the Media Studies department of the Islamia University
