Who is an Alum?
All graduates and former students (who have successfully completed
their Bachelor's, Master's, M.Phil or Ph.D degrees) are considered
alumni of the University including graduates of the sub-campuses
Bahwalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan.
Members of the Alumni Association who settle their annual dues
are considered active members. As such they are entitled to nominate
and elect the Executive Committees of their Chapters, and enjoy
the Alumni Associations benefits.
Eligibility to run for Office
Alumni who are graduates of the University and who have settled
their Alumni Association Annual Membership dues are eligible to
run for any office of an Executive Committee of a Chapter.
Honorary Membership to IAA
The Alumni Association, with the approval of the Vice-Chancellor
or through recommendation, may confer honorary membership upon
those persons who have made extraordinary personal commitment
to the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. These persons may include
(but not limited to) current and former full-time faculty, officers
of the University administration or members of the Syndicate etc.
This category of membership will not be eligible to stand for
elections nor vote. Any request by the Alumni Association to confer
honorary membership upon those persons who have made extraordinary
personal commitment to the University shall be forwarded to the
Manager Placement who will seek approval of the Vice-Chancellor.
Cancellation of Membership
The Association's Executive Board in consultation with the Vice-Chancellor
shall have the authority to withdraw privileges of membership
from any individual whose behavior is incompatible with the objectives
of the University and the Association.
Any person who shall inform in writing, the Executive Board or
the Manager Placement that he or she does not wish to be a member
of the Alumni Association shall cease to be or shall not become
a member of the Association.
