A Two day
Workshop on Object-Oriented Analysis &
Design was Organized in the Department of
Computer Science & IT , The Islamia
University of Bahawalpur by NUST Institute
of Information Technology (NIIT) under HEC
Exchange Program from February 26, 2008
to February 27, 2008.
This workshop was conducted
by Dr. H Farooq Ahmed, Associate Professor,
NIIT was The Rosource Person . Hafiz Bilal
& Mr.Atif Khan of NIIT were the supporting
Instructors. Dr. Muhammad Shahid Naweed,
HOD , Mr. Dost Muhammad Khan, Assistant
Professor, & Mr. Faisal Shahzad, Lecturer,
Department of Computer Science & IT
Were workshop coordinators at IUB . Their
responsibilities were : Local arrangements
such as the resources at IUB , managing
partciping and Lcal support for the instructor,
supporting instructor and teaching assistant.
Arrange the text book in coordination with
the instructor, photocopying the necessary
material for the participants.
About 30 student of MCS,
BS (CS) & BS (IT) attended this two
days workshop.
Goals and Objectives:
Software engineering (SE)
is About the development and application
of processes and tool for managing the complexities
inherent in creating high quality software
system.
This workshop presents the large-scale software
development using object oriented techniques,
tool and technology and aims to give participants
both a theoretical and a practical foundation.
This tow day extensive workshop will enable
you better to engineer software development
with object oriented techniques and technology.
Course
Description:
This course first introduces
object oriented concepts and principles
and studies how to modle them with Unified
Modeling Language ( UML). It covers then
in detail object oriented requirements engineering,
software analysis and design, implementation
and testing. It will also give you an overview
of software quality assurance, software
configuration management and software reengineering.
