Scholarships

 

 

Financial Assistance
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur offers following types of financial assistance:

i. District Scholarships
Eligibility: District Scholarships are granted to the non- professional students of the Punjab Province on the basis of their last public examinations. First division is compulsory for the award of scholarships.

ii. Professional Merit Scholarships
Eligibility: The scholarship is awarded on the basis of merit in the last public examination. Only Students of Professional Education are eligible to apply.

iii. HEC Japanese Need Based Scholarships
Eligibility: The scholarship is awarded to the needy students of Natural Sciences and Social Sciences.

iv. HEC Meritorious Need Based Scholarships
Eligibility: The scholarship is awarded to the meritorious needy students of the life sciences.

v. Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Scholarships
Eligibility: The scholarship is awarded to the needy students having family income less than Rs. 10,000/- per month.
vi. Mora Scholarships
Eligibility: The Students who deserve Zakat Fund and their family income is less than Rs. 6000/- per month are eligible to apply.

vii. Syeda Mubarik Begum Scholarships
Eligibility: The scholarship is Merit and Need based. Only girls students are eligible to apply.

viii. University Scholarships
a) Merit
b) Need Based/Stipend
Eligibility:
a) Merit Scholarship is awarded on the basis of marks in FA/FSc/BA/BSc/BCom examination and also to the students with highest marks in the last examination.
b) Need Based Scholarship is granted to the students having income less than Rs. 5000/- per month.
ix. Fee-Remission
Eligibility:
Hafiz-e-Quran: Fee-remission is granted on the basis of Hifz and student's academic performance.
Orphan: Fee-remission is granted to the orphan students.
Brother/Sister: Fee-remission is granted to the students whose brother/ sister is enrolled in the University.
Position Holder: Fee-remission is granted to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders in each class.
Needy: Fee-remission is granted to the needy students.

x. Financial Assistance
Eligibility: Financial Assistance is granted on the basis of Need and student's academic performance.

xi. NBP Loan
Eligibility: The loan is given to the needy students who have 70% marks in their last annual examination.
