Khan, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur
visited various under completion projects at Baghadad-ul-Jadeed
campus yesterday. He directed to complete the project
of University College of Engineering and Technology
by 15th August, 2009 and shift the college in new building
from the new academic session starting from September
this year. Engineering College building is constructed
with the cost of Rs. 200 Million.
Dr. Belal A. Khan also visited 175 acres land allocated
for the construction of buildings for the Faculty of
Commerce and Management Sciences, College of Fine Arts,
College of Agriculture & Environmental Sciences
and College of Veterinary Sciences. Total cost of these
projects is Rs. 1442 Million and will be completed during
next fiscal year. The Vice Chancellor also inspected
the furnishing work of Main Auditorium having 1200 seating
capacity and Rs. 50 Million are being spent on its furnishing
work. He was told that an electric generator of 500
KVA capacity has been placed at Main Auditorium for
the smooth electric supply and air-conditioning systems
of the auditorium. He also directed to complete project
of boundary around Baghdad campus to ensure safety and
security of the campus. The Vice Chancellor also directed
to grow 50,000 plants is Baghdad-ul-Jadeed campus on
priority basis.
